(Minghui.org) The Art on Lark street festival was held on Lark Street in Albany, New York on June 10, 2017. This annual summer event has 36 years of history and celebrates local art and artisans in Albany.
Local Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth and introduced the meditation practice to visitors. They also raised awareness of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China by the communist regime.
The festival attracted more visitors than in previous years. When the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, some visitors wanted to learn. One young man followed the practitioners' hand movements during the second exercise.
Some practitioners offered free exercise instruction and talked with the visitors, who expressed outrage when they learned of the arrest, imprisonment, torture practitioners continue to face in China. Many signed a petition condemning the persecution.
