(Minghui.org) A Fuxin City, Liaoning Province resident was sentenced to one year for her faith in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Nan Jinxiang, a bakery owner, was arrested at home on November 26, 2019, after being deceived into opening the door to an officer who pretended to the same person who came to learn bakery skills from her the day before. Her computer, printer, Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. She has been held at Xindi Detention Center since.
The police submitted Ms. Nan’s case to the Haizhou District Procuratorate in December 2019. The prosecutor returned her case twice due to insufficient evidence before indicting her.
Ms. Nan appeared in Haizhou District Court on June 22, 2020 and was recently convicted. She has filed an appeal against the verdict.
