(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in San Diego commemorated the 21st anniversary of their peaceful resistance of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of the practice with a candlelight vigil at the USS Midway on July 18, 2020.
Practitioners held a candlelight vigil in San Diego on July 18, 2020.
Touched by the severity of the persecution, passersby joined the candlelight vigil (front) to remember Falun Gong practitioners who have died.
The atmosphere was peaceful and solemn. The practitioners in yellow shirts sat in neat rows and lit candles at 7:30 p.m. Many people stopped to ask about the event. After hearing about the persecution, some joined practitioners to mourn those who were persecuted to death.
A veteran told a practitioner that he'd heard of the many crimes that the CCP has committed, but this was the first time he heard about the atrocity of organ harvesting. He hopes more people will learn about the true nature of the CCP through Falun Gong practitioners’ activities.
Another man told a practitioner, “I’m very clear about the wickedness of the CCP, but many people don’t know about it. I hope you keep holding activities like this to tell more people.”
