(Minghui.org) I have read numerous articles on Minghui.org about how studying the Fa, sending righteous thoughts, and clarifying the truth can help deny the old forces' arrangements.
Master Li said,
“I have always said that the old forces' participation is a form of persecution and a form of interference. If what gods in the past saved were people's assistant souls and not their actual main bodies, then think about it everyone, would that method of saving people work for Dafa disciples' cultivation today? The main bodies of Dafa disciples, as well as those of the world's people, are at the surface. Then is what they did fitting? Would it work? It wouldn't at all. So that's why I say that they are causing interference. This method and form of cultivation that I've told everyone to take today is to cultivate while conforming to ordinary human society and to validate Dafa using ordinary human means to the greatest extent possible (applause), and that's unprecedented. Those gods, they don't know anything about how to deal with such a cultivation method, and what they've done is completely out of line, so they are definitely a form of interference with Dafa disciples' cultivation.” (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York)
The founder of Falun Gong, Master Li Hongzhi, first introduced the practice to the general public in 1992. This high-level cultivation system both cultivates and saves a person's main consciousness.
The old forces, however, made detailed arrangements to save a person's subordinate consciousness— which cultivates in the other dimensions—not their main consciousness.
Thus, the approach the old forces are taking is severely interfering with Master's Fa-Rectification.
Master Li taught us in Zhuan Falun that almost all cultivation schools throughout history, saved only a person's subordinate consciousness.
Master has often reminded us to practice Dafa with full awareness, as it's our main consciousness that is being saved.
Master said,
“Whatever profession you are in, whether you’re in the field of cultural preservation, business, the arts, politics, or you’re a student, all the same, you can cultivate in your respective setting. Then think about it, isn’t this setting itself, isn’t human society, a practice site provided to Dafa disciples? It provides you with a setting and factors that can stir up all sorts of attachments in you, and provides you with all sorts of opportunities to improve. With this affair being so immense, the entire human society has become a monastery [for your cultivation].” (“Fa Teaching on World Falun Dafa Day”)
To cultivate in human society, practitioners must conform to everyday people as much as possible. However, if practitioners spend inordinate amounts of time socializing with everyday people or interacting with non-practitioner family members, they tend to slack off a bit.
However, since it's our main consciousnesses that are cultivating, even a slight distraction can cause us to deviate on our spiritual journeys.
For example, at one point in my cultivation practice, the demon of lust was interfering with me on a nightly basis.
Each morning, I admonished myself for failing to remember that I'm a Falun Gong practitioner in my dreams. I knew that I would not have done those stupid things if I was wide awake. “Why was I unable to pass this critical test?” I often asked myself.
I began to think, “Are the old forces interfering with me?” This prompted me to get up between 2 and 3 a.m. and send righteous thoughts, in an effort to clear out the demon of lust. Several days later, I noticed that I was feeling better and that I had a lot more energy.
One night, I had a dream in which I got up to send righteous thoughts and said, “Evil demon, I'm going to destroy you!” Then, I destroyed it.
The next day, I felt very energized and was able to stay awake for days without sleep.
Through this experience, I realized the importance of sending righteous thoughts and how effective it is in denying the old forces' arrangements!
