(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 28 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kong Qingping Arrested
Ms. Kong Qingping’s family member was followed by three police officers to Ms. Kong’s temporary residence on the afternoon of October 22, 2022. The police turned off the power switch outside and claimed they were from the property office. They arrested Ms. Kong and took her to the Jinjia Street Detention House. Ms. Kong’s family members have not been allowed to visit her.
2. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Peng Jianpu Faces Trial
Mr. Peng Jianpu will be tried in the Hailin City Court on November 8, 2022.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhong Fangqiong Harassed Repeatedly
Ms. Zhong Fangqiong from Chengdu City stayed at her younger brother’s home in Yangming Village, Yunlong Town, Jianyang City. In mid-October, 2022, she was constantly harassed.
Zhang Haocheng led twelve Yujian Community Patrol Team members to her place on the afternoon of October 14, 2022. They told her to go to the community office the next day to have the nuclei acid test.
Zhang Jincheng from the Yujian Community Discipline Office went to Ms. Zhong’s younger brother’s home on the evening of October 16, 2022. He told her that a police officer would be stationed in front of her house to watch her.
Zhang Hu, director of the Yujian Community, came to Ms. Zhong’s place at 9 a.m. on October 17, 2022. That evening twelve members of the patrol team stayed outside to watch Ms. Zhong.
Hu Jianguo came to harass Ms. Zhong at 9 a.m. on October 18, 2022. Zhang Hu and Yan Jun, director of the community comprehensive office, came to harass her around 3 p.m. that afternoon.
Yan Jun came to harass Ms. Zhong the next afternoon on October 19, 2022, and again on October 20, 2022.
Zhang Hu and two other people from the Yujian Community Comprehensive Office came to take photos of Ms. Zhong’s place around 9 a.m. on October 21, 2022.
Zhang Suwen, deputy of the community comprehensive office, came to Ms. Zhong’s place on October 22, 2022, and took a photo of Ms. Zhong without her permission.
4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Chunli and His Wife Ms. Wang Guohui Arrested
Officers from the Jihongtan Police Station went to the home of Mr. Yu Chunli and his wife Ms. Wang Guohui around 8 p.m. on October 27, 2022. They took the family of three to the police station. The couple’s child returned home the next day.
5. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yanzhi Arrested
Ms. Li Yanzhi was arrested at home on the afternoon of October 17, 2022. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, computer, printer, booklets, USB drives, and about 100 yuan in paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts.
Ms. Li was taken to the Tongzhong Police Department and placed in a metal cage. She was told she was arrested because she was recorded by surveillance cameras when she distributed truth clarifying materials. Because of the pandemic, she was released that evening.
6. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. He Yanming Arrested
Mr. He Yanming lives in Dahuang Village, Youwei Town, Linghai City. He was arrested at home on September 10, 2022, and was detained for 15 days.
7. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Luo Baofang Detained
Ms. Luo Baofang who works in the Hongxinglong Administration Bureau of Youyi County is still detained. Her husband Mr. Ge Maosen was released before October 1, 2022.
8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Dong Huiquan Harassed
Mr. Dong Huiquan was harassed at home by officers from the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station in Fengnan District on September 3, 2022. He was questioned and asked whether he still practiced Falun Gong and was videotaped.
9. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Six Practitioners Harassed
Six practitioners were harassed by officers from the Baiguo Town Police Station and local residential committee members during the time the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party was held. They are Deng He, Tang Shixing, Zhang Baolin, Chen Pingfang, Huang Yulan, and Zhang Dewen. The practitioners were photographed and pressured to sign some documents.
10. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Seven Practitioners Face Persecution
Seven practitioners from Chiping District including Shang Sufang, Lu Jinyu, Xu Jinfeng, Wang Chengguo, Liu Mingsen, Mr. Li Chuanlu, and his wife, received a summons from the local judicial office on October 27, 2022. Xu Jinfeng, Shang Sufang, Liu Mingshen, Li Chuanlu, and his wife went to the Zhenxing Sub-district Judicial Office. Lu Jinyu went to the Xinfa Sub-district Judicial Office. Zhang from the Zhenxing Sub-district Judicial Office told the practitioners that they would be sentenced.
11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhao Xudong and His Daughter Ms. Zhao Guokun Released on Bail Pending Trial
Mr. Zhao Xudong and his daughter Ms. Zhao Guokun were arrested on September 27, 2022. They are now released on bail pending trial.
12. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Tairong Faces Trial
Ms. Sun Tairong will be tried in the Daoli District Court on the afternoon of November 4, 2022.
13. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Guiling Arrested
Officers from the Liji Township Police Station in Yuncheng County went to Ms. Li Guiling’s home on October 3, 2022. No one was at home, but the door was not locked. The police ransacked her home and confiscated more than 10 Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and over 50 copies of Minghui Weekly. They arrested Ms. Li when she returned home and took her to the police station. Zhang Tongqi, acting head of the police station, slammed Ms. Li hard when she refused to cooperate. Ms. Li was handcuffed and shackled. She was fastened with a lock to a metal chair for the entire day before she was released.
14. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zuo Haifeng Arrested
Mr. Zuo Haifeng was arrested in the Jiusheng Village School by officers including Han Dong from the Qili Township Police Station on September 9, 2022. His home was ransacked. Mr. Zuo was released later that day.
