(Minghui.org) Since the pandemic outbreak in 2020, I turned from clarifying the truth in person to making truth-clarifying phone calls to people in China. When I first started making phone calls on the RTC platform, I was nervous, scared and felt that it was difficult because I did not speak fluently. I am not very good at conversing with people. Joining the RTC platform gave me a chance to improve myself. I am thankful to the platform team members who provided me with training, guidance and materials. The technical support practitioners also helped me a lot and I was able to start making phone calls confidently and smoothly.
Being Responsible and Persistent
Master said,
“With any project or any task, if you decide not to do it, then don’t do it; and if you do decide to do it, then you definitely have to do it well and carry it through to the end.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 201 New York Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings Given Around the World Volume XI)
Once I decide to do something, I know I must persist. I left China seven years ago. When I first came to Canada I talked to people at a tourist site. I only worked three days each week to make sure that I could be at the tourist site. I felt that this was being responsible.
When I joined the project to phone China, I thought that I must do well and persisting is also a form of being responsible. After the pandemic eased in Canada, the other projects were short-handed and their coordinators asked me to help. I politely refused. I just wanted to continue contacting people in China. On the RTC platform, everyone learns from each other, exchanges cultivation experiences and we keep perfecting ourselves.
Stop Relying on Others
For the more than a year, I have been persisting in making phone calls to people in China on the 101 broadcast platform on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This project requires the most effort. I have to keep updating and familiarizing myself with the materials. My experience tells me that in order to make phone calls well, the most important thing is to cultivate myself well and have strong righteous thoughts so that every thought of mine is based on the Fa.
I was asked to host a cultivation exchange meeting with another practitioner. However, she said that she needed to wake up early the next day and could not participate. I remained calm and thought that I could host the session myself.
I never hosted this session before. I had an attachment to relying on others, and I could not make a breakthrough. This unexpected situation helped me get rid of my reliance on other practitioners. I was able to maintain an optimistic and enthusiastic attitude. Afterwards, hosting cultivation exchange sessions was no longer a challenge for me. I really made a breakthrough.
Do Not Have Any Negative Thoughts
When I phoned one man he said, “You’ve told me so many things. I can feel your passion and I thank you! I understand, but I have my own religion.” I could tell that he was a kind person so I asked him if he was a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He said that he was not going to tell me and he did not need me to help him quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I felt that he was afraid. I said, “In that case, you can log on to the official website to quit the CCP and its youth organizations yourself or you can ask Falun Dafa practitioners you meet to help you. You can also use a pen name.” He agreed.
Some people scold me or ask me for money. My heart was not moved. I just patiently tell them the truth about Dafa and treat them with compassion. As long as the other party listens to me, I keep talking. Once a person understands the truth, he will be blessed and have good future. He may also encourage his relatives and friends to quit the CCP and its youth organizations.
Some people who have quit the CCP and its youth organizations do not truly understand the truth about Dafa. I explain what Falun Dafa is so that they can be truly saved. One person said that he already quit the CCP and its youth organizations, but when I asked him some things about Falun Dafa he said that he had not heard this. I explained and he happily said, “No one told me in such detail. I feel that this is really important.” Some people hang up the phone right after they quit the CCP. Maybe they did not have the time to listen or there were other reasons.
Master said,
“I think that at the tourist sites, you should not take quitting the Party or the Young Pioneers, or the “three withdrawals” itself, as your goal. Remember, everyone, you are to have clarifying the truth and saving people as your goal! (Enthusiastic applause) If you feel that person can be saved, then that is fine. If you feel that person is only brushing you off, that is like you have been cheated by him. Of course, if he first agrees to quit, this is already a step. Clarify the truth to him further, so he can really know it, and then it'll be considered done.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XIV)
Once when I was making phone calls, three people refused to listen and hung up. I sent a message to the Vietnamese practitioner, “It seems the Chinese people have been destroyed by atheism.” Afterwards, he stopped cooperating with me. I wondered what was wrong. Suddenly, I understood. I had negative thoughts. I must maintain righteous thoughts.
Every time before I make phone calls, I read Master’s “On Dafa” (Zhuan Falun) and send righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil beings and elements in the other dimensions that are blocking people from being saved.
One person said that he already received more than ten such phone calls. I said, “That is your blessing. You are a blessed person who has an affinity with Falun Dafa.” He was very happy.
Another person picked up the phone and said, “One of my friends received more than thirty such phone calls. He wondered if it was true that four hundred million people had quit the CCP and its youth organizations.” I told him, “I always ask the other party if he has quit the CCP and its youth organizations in every one of my phone calls. I will give some feedback about this in our next sharing session.”
Some people agree to quit the CCP but hang up the phone before I can tell them about the nine golden words: “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” However, when I try calling back, they do not pick up the phone. I feel that it is such a pity. Therefore, I make sure to tell them about the nine golden words.
We must treat people with compassion and kind thoughts. In order to save them, we must improve our own cultivation. If our cultivation state is good, the words we say and our righteous thoughts can move the other party. We must remind people to be kind and that atheism is harmful to mankind. We must also awaken their inner souls, their divine sides.
I also realized that we should guide the conversation and help the person understand the importance of quitting the CCP. We should speak slowly and our tone must be calm. We cannot criticize or force anyone, nor can we say anything in an extreme way.
Making phone calls to China is a precious cultivation opportunity. No words can describe my gratitude to Master. It is Master’s vast sacrifice that made it possible for us to progress on our cultivation path, return to our original, true selves and fulfill our prehistoric great wish. We must cultivate diligently and continue to try our best to improve in our truth-clarifying efforts. By doing so can we save even more sentient beings and validate the Fa to repay Master.
