(Minghui.org) I am 62 this year. I was born in a small city in northeast China and I have many fond memories of my hometown. I suffered from serious insomnia when I was young and had to take sleeping pills to fall asleep. Even though my health was bad, I still had to go out and work and make a living. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. I decided to practice Falun Dafa and was granted a new lease on life.
I went to visit my family in 2000 and met a childhood friend. She told me how practicing Falun Dafa brought her good health, and how her entire family benefited. She told me many wonderful stories that I had never heard before, and they sounded like legends to me. I was excited, and I thought of practicing Falun Dafa. However, faced with the intense persecution, I hid my Zhaun Falun book, the small music player, and my truth clarifying materials. I decided that I would practice after I retired.
I was focused on making money. I placed Dafa aside for more than ten years. Recalling this later was really heart-wrenching. Master was inviting me to return home. I let Master down. I became too lost in the mundane world. In 2016, I accompanied a family member to see a doctor and had a checkup myself. The results showed that I had breast cancer. I went to a tumor hospital for another checkup. The hospital confirmed that I had breast cancer. This was really a bolt out of the blue, and it felt like my world was collapsing around me.
In order to save my life, I underwent treatments and surgeries. Six months later I started doing chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is a torment that is worse than death. The helplessness of life and the fear in my mind in the face of the limited capabilities of modern medicine coupled with the extreme pain made me feel like I had hit rock bottom.
I suddenly recalled what my friend told me many years prior, “Falun Dafa is really good. It is a practice of both mind and body. Many people who had cancer recovered after practicing.” I thought I could practice Falun Dafa. But where could I find Falun Dafa practitioners?
A few days later, I was on my way to the hospital for my chemotherapy when I heard a woman at the back of the bus clarifying the truth to another person. I immediately went to her and asked, “Do you practice Falun Dafa?” She said, “Yes.” I said, “I want to practice. Please help me.” I told her about my cancer and asked, “Can Falun Dafa cure this illness?” She replied, “You need to read the book first, study the Fa, practice the exercises, and cultivate your xinxing. Only then can your illness be resolved.” I gave her my phone number.
A few days later she came to my house and told me many cultivation stories. She also told me how to study the Fa. After a few days, my body could no longer take it as I was too weak, so I decided to go back to my hometown. Before long, Master once again arranged for a practitioner to meet me. We read the Fa, practiced the exercises, and watched Master’s lecture videos together. This practitioner’s selfless help touched me deeply. As I studied the Fa in-depth, I understood that human beings came to Earth not to enjoy themselves and make money, but to return to their original, true selves. I also gradually understood that illnesses are all caused by our own karma. If a cultivator wants to get rid of this karma, he needs to go through hardships and tribulations.
As my xinxing improved, my body also changed a lot. Initially, all my small ailments such as insomnia disappeared. Through practicing the exercises, my body also became better. With that, I made up my mind. I threw away all the cancer medicines. When the hospital called for my next chemotherapy session I said that my cancer was gone.
My family was worried. They said that I could stop taking the medications when I fully recovered. I told them, “You don’t have to worry about me. I will be fine. You see that I am sleeping well, eating well, and I even walk quickly. Why do I still need to take that medication? I depended on modern science for years. Did it help? The top medical doctors can only confirm that cancer is a non-curable disease. I am lucky to be saved by Dafa. Dafa truly manifests a medical miracle in me. Falun Dafa is amazing.”
Family Members are Thankful to Dafa
Having witnessed the amazing power of Dafa themselves, my family were moved, and they asked how to thank Master. My elderly mother began reading Zhuan Falun and doing the exercises. The whole family thinks that Dafa is good so I let them listen to Master’s lectures, and they all quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
When our family went on vacation we listened to the recordings of Master’s lectures. I clarified the truth to everyone I met. In my heart I said to Master, “Master, please help me. I am a new practitioner and I have not studied the Fa well in depth. Please empower me.”
As long as I clarified the truth, the other party happily agreed to quit the CCP. I used my own experience to tell people how wonderful Falun Dafa is. I told people the importance of quitting the CCP and its youth organizations. My family members helped me look for people. Once they found someone, I would go over to greet that person and continue to clarify the truth to the next person after I finished talking to that one.
We were about to leave when my brother said, “There are still two more people. Have you spoken to them?” I quickly clarified the truth to them, and both agreed to quit. Saving a person is equivalent to saving countless sentient beings. I understood that these two people were arranged by Master to be saved. Our trip lasted twenty eight days and I managed to persuade a hundred and nine people quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I was happy as everyone in the family understood the truth and even helped me to save people, doing such a great thing together with me.
My husband also changed for the better. On his days off from work, he helped me distribute materials and post truth-clarifying notes. As my husband is tall, the stickers that he posted are all especially high and neat. I send righteous thoughts while he posts stickers. With Master’s protection, we managed to successfully distribute many materials.
After I began practicing I became completely different from the former me. I treated my husband especially well. Viewing my changes, he witnessed the benefit of practicing Dafa, so he is thankful to Master. Everyone in the family wants to help me, and show their gratitude to Dafa! Thank you, Master!
Master is Right by My Side
I moved to the provincial capitol, but I did not know any practitioners there and wondered what I should do. I asked Master to help me find local practitioners. Soon afterwards, I met a woman. I went up to her and clarified the truth. She asked, “Do you also practice Falun Dafa?” I said, “Yes.” She said, “My sister-in-law is also a Falun Dafa practitioner and she helped me quit the CCP years ago.” I said, “I am looking for other practitioners. Can you help me?” She agreed. I know that this was Master’s arrangement.
I knew that Master was encouraging me to be diligent. I quickly joined the local group environment. I study the Fa more every day, and wake up at 3 a.m. to complete the five sets of exercises and send righteous thoughts. I go out to clarify the truth in the afternoon. No matter whether it’s winter or the scorching summer, I bring truth-clarifying materials and walk for miles every day and talk to people.
I only head home when the sky turns dark, and have dinner and study the Fa. In the evening I join the small Fa study group. I constantly look within. I found my attachments to jealousy, complaints and hatred, competing with others, showing off, lust, comfort, etc. Master often shows me where I do not meet the Dafa requirements. I constantly thank Master for protecting me and looking after me.
Raising Awareness to Save People
I bring all sorts of Dafa materials when I go out, along with spare cash and masks. I walk from one bus stop to the next. If there is a passenger who does not have a mask, I offer them one and clarify the truth. If someone does not have spare cash, I offer them some. They happily agree to quit the CCP and its youth organizations.
On one especially cold day, I saw an elderly woman with a small boy, but they did not board the bus. I found out that they could not board, as the bus required them to pay in coins, but they did not have any. I said, “I happen to have coins. Please take them.” I gave her two yuan and she said, “Let me transfer cash to your phone.” I said that there was no need to do so as this was just a small matter. I knew that Master had arranged for her to listen to me clarify the truth.
I quickly found a topic to use as a starting point. I told her how amazing Falun Dafa is, the truth about the CCP-staged Tiananmen self-immolation hoax, and many other things. She listened attentively. I then told her about my personal experience. She said, “This is so good.” Then, I gave her materials about quitting the CCP and its youth organization, and amulets.
“I will take a good look at all this when I return home,” she said happily. “In the past, I found similar materials on my door. We all thought that Falun Dafa was involved in politics so we did not dare to read them. We just threw them away. I finally understand. If I come across any more materials, I will keep them.” She happily took the materials and thanked me. After they boarded the bus, I clarified the truth to the next person.
One hot afternoon, I had not walked far when I met an elderly couple resting under a big tree. They looked friendly so I walked up to them and greeted them. After I sat down, I sent righteous thoughts to get rid of any evil elements. I then began talking about the pandemic, the messy phenomenon in society, the CCP’s corruption, the degeneration of society’s moral values, and natural and man-made disasters.
They did not object to all these topics but when I said that Falun Dafa was a cultivation practice that is rooted in Buddhist tradition, the lady’s attitude changed, and she said, “Do not talk to us about this. Falun Dafa is meddling in politics.” I replied calmly, “Our Master told us not to get involved in politics. He just asks us to save people as they are all facing danger. I am also over sixty years old. How can I meddle in politics? I feel that you are knowledgeable people so I am telling you the true facts. With the pandemic still going on, only by distancing yourselves from the CCP and its youth organizations and understanding that Falun Dafa is good will a person be protected by divine beings and survive this calamity.
“People like you, who are kind, should be saved and have a wonderful future. However, former CCP head Jiang Zemin made use of his political powers to start a national and even international movement to destroy Falun Dafa. He caused people to hate Falun Dafa by using the ‘Tiananmen self-immolation’ hoax to deceive people around the world.
“Everything is under Heaven’s control. Heaven will disintegrate the CCP. This will implicate the members of the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Today, we have the affinity to meet. I risk my life to raise awareness so that you can have a good future.”
Tears welled up in my eyes. I clarified the truth to them for a long time. I told them that my cancer was resolved after I practiced Dafa. They finally understood and the woman said, “So this is what it is all about! In that case, please help us quit the CCP.” I gave them a memory card reader. The woman happily accepted it and said she would definitely watch it. I asked them to remember, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She said, “I remember.” She asked many questions and I answered all of them.
Having people be saved is our wish. Every day when I go out, I only think about saving people. When I read the Fa, my heart is immersed within the Fa. I have strengthened my Fa study and memorizing the Fa, and I practice the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. I am able to greet people naturally and calmly and give them the truth-clarifying materials. I share my personal experiences and make use of the new lease on life that Master gave me to validate the Fa and assist Master in saving sentient beings.
