(Minghui.org) With strong protest from Ms. Su Jinfeng’s family members, she was released on the same day after being arrested for her faith in Falun Gong.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Su, of Taian City, Shandong Province, was working in her clothing store on February 8, 2023, when two police officers, Xu Chongjun and Zhao Feng, showed up
Knowing that the police came to arrest her, Ms. Su ran out of her store, only to be caught up by the officers and taken to their police car.
Upon hearing about Ms. Su’s arrest, nine of her family members, including her daughter, son-in-law, and their child, as well as her two sisters and their children, went to the police station to seek her release.
Despite Ms. Su’s dangerously high blood pressure (220/240 mmHg), the police still attempted to take her to the Taian City Detention Center. Her family followed the police there. When a detention center guard tried to drag Ms. Su inside, her niece-in-law held her arm and wouldn’t let her go.
The family refused to leave the detention center and kept demanding Xu to release Ms. Su. After hours of a standoff, Ms. Su was released around 10 p.m.
