(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Chen Jingyu Missing
Mr. Chen Jingyu was arrested by officers including Tang, head of the Economic Development District Police Department, on July 31, 2022. His home was ransacked. The police confiscated two computers, a mini printer, seven cell phones, a bank card, and a copy of Zhuan Falun. Mr. Chen was released after he was interrogated in the police department all night.
Mr. Chen’s mother received a call on February 16, 2023, informing her that he must go to the police department on February 20, 2023, for an investigation. Mr. Chen’s family lost contact with him, and does not know where he is.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Qingping Faces Trial
Ms. Zhao Qingping from Wuchang City was scheduled to be tried in the Acheng District Court at 2 p.m. on February 24, 2023.
3. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Three Family Members Persecuted
On February 1, 2023, officers including Li Tongjun, head of the city police department, went to a rental property where three practitioners’ family members stayed. They ransacked the home and confiscated a computer and five Falun Gong books. The mother and the daughter managed to escape. The husband was arrested and may have been taken to a detention center.
4. [Xianghe County, Hebei Province] The Case Against Ms. Cao Jin’e Submitted to the Court
Ms. Cao Jin’e lives in Xietun Village, Anping Town, Xianghe County. She was reported to the police for distributing information about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers in Tongzhou District, Beijing in June 2021. She was taken to a detention center. After she developed high blood pressure and was unable to stand, she was released on bail for medical treatment.
Ms. Cao received a summons from the Tongzhou District Court on February 19, 2023. She was ordered to appear in court at 10 a.m. on February 24, 2023.
5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lin Chunzi Arrested and Detained
Elderly Ms. Lin Chunzi went to a post office to mail truth-clarifying letters six days ago. It was learned that Ms. Lin was arrested and detained in the Mudanjiang City Detention Center.
6. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Shiyi Arrested and Detained
Ms. Yang Shiyi, about 70, has been subjected to forced labor once and sentenced to prison twice for a total of 15 years. She was arrested by officers from the Yuntang Police Station on February 20, 2023, and was sent to the Xiangtan City Detention Center.
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Officers from the Wanggang Town Police Station in Nangang District recently went to harass several practitioners including Ms. Tang Fengying, in her 80s, Ms. Mao, Ms. Mu, and Mr. Ma Yongqian, 53.
Mr. Ma Yongqiao was harassed at home by two officers from the Wanggang Town Police Station on the morning of February 21, 2023. The police tried to photograph him but he refused to cooperate.
8. [Tianjin] Mr. Xie Xiangdong Arrested
Mr. Xie Xiangdong, 53, from Nankai District, lost contact on February 8, 2023. It was recently learned that he was arrested and detained. Mr. Xie has previously been detained in prison for years because he practices Falun Gong.
9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] The Case Against Mr. Shen Guosheng Filed in the Intermediate Court
The case against Mr. Shen Guosheng was filed in the Taiyuan Intermediate Court. His family member submitted the power of attorney document as a defender but it was rejected by the court.
10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Qixue was Arrested and Detained
Mr. Wang Qixue from Nong’an County went to visit Ms. Liu Xiaohua but was arrested by officers who monitored Ms. Liu’s home, on February 19, 2023. He was sent to the Weizigou Detention House for a 10-day detention.
11. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhao Guojiang Arrested
Mr. Zhao Guojiang was arrested by officers from the Zhongyuan Police Station in Fancheng District in late October 2022. His current whereabouts are unknown.
12. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Several officers from the Yushu City Police Department and the Xinli Town Police Station went to Shuangyu Village and arrested Ms. Wang Xiuzhi, Ms. Liu Shumin, and Mr. Ma Lingxi on February 19, 2023. The practitioners were taken to the police station. Ms. Ma Lingxi was released later. Ms. Wang Xiuzhi and Ms. Liu Shumin were taken to a detention house.
13. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] The Case Against Mr. Zhang Xian and Mr. Wang Zhishan Submitted to the Court
The case against Mr. Zhang Xian and Mr. Wang Zhishan from Xianghe County was submitted to the Xianghe County Court.
14. [Longhua County, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Yuhua Arrested
Ms. Han Yuhua was reported to the police for distributing information about Falun Gong on February 17, 2023. She was arrested and taken to the Longhua County Detention Center. Her home was ransacked. Her computer and printer were confiscated.
15. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Persecuted
Three practitioners including Ms. Liu Guijie, Mr. Zhang Qian, and Ms. Wang Li are currently detained in the Gongzhuling City Center Hospital. Their family members saw them on February 21, 2023.
Mr. Zhang Qian and Ms. Wang Li, as well as Luan Dewu (gender unknown), were taken to the Jiutai Detention Center on February 20, 2023. Mr. Zhang Qian and Ms. Wang Li were rejected due to their poor health. They were taken back to Gongzhuling City. Luan Dewu was held in the Jiutai Detention Center.
16. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Hongwei and Ms. Xu Shuqin Persecuted
Ms. Zhang Hongwei’s husband was arrested at home at noon, on February 3, 2023. Ms. Zhang Hongwei was not at home at that time and has stayed away from her home since then. The police ransacked her home and confiscated four printers, two computers, and other personal belongings.
Ms. Xu Shuqin was arrested by officers from the Xinjiang Police Station in Pingfang District on February 1, 2023. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was sent to a detention center.
