(Minghui.org) May 13 is Falun Dafa Day. The mind and body cultivation practice has been introduced throughout the world for 31 years. This year marks the 24th World Falun Dafa Day and the birthday of its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. To honor the occasion, practitioners from Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Taitung, Kinmen, Penghu counties, and cities in Southern Taiwan, got together in Pingtung City Millennium Park. They marched around the downtown area to tell people about Falun Dafa and celebrate this special occasion. They were warmly greeted by people along the route.
Practitioners from Southern Taiwan wish Master Li a Happy Birthday!
The afternoon breeze was refreshing, and practitioners were in high spirits. They gathered at Pingtung City Millennium Park to celebrate the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa being spread to the world and also took the opportunity to wish Master Li a happy birthday.
The Tian Guo Marching Band’s performance opened the event at 2 p.m. and was followed by practitioners doing Heshi collectively to congratulate Master on his birthday. Before they set off on the parade, they exclaimed, “We wish Master a happy birthday!” “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
Practitioners in Southern Taiwan held a Grand March in Pingtung City which was well received by spectators.
The grand parade started at 3 p.m., and was led by the Tian Guo Marching Band, followed by the fairy team, banner team, flag team, exercise demonstration team, and waist drum team. Many people stopped to watch and praised the practitioners. Many store owners gave them a thumbs-up to show their approval.
Falun Dafa was first taught in Changchun City, China, on May 13, 1992. With its core principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, it has benefited millions of people. For the past more than 30 years it has spread to more than 100 countries and regions and received numerous proclamations worldwide.
Since 1999, practitioners have been subjected to persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including having their organs harvested. They have clarified the facts about the persecution to people around the world and used various peaceful means to expose it.
County Councilor: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will Prevail
Taitung County Councilor Zhang Guozhou wishes Master Li a happy birthday!
Taitung County Councilor and former Taitung Mayor Zhang Guozhou said, “For more than a decade, I have had a very deep affection for Falun Dafa, and I’ve also gained some understanding. Falun Dafa promotes Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and we should respect each other. On World Falun Dafa Day I hope every person can follow Falun Dafa’s principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Such a meaningful spirit is advocated by Master Li Hongzhi so that the whole world will be filled with warmth, peace, and happiness.”
He said, “I wish Master Li a happy birthday! Long life Master Li! Falun Dafa is good! The spirit of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will prevail.”
President of the Rotary Club: Falun Dafa Is Most Important
Rotary Club President of Kaohsiung City West District and former Principal of Wufu National High School, Ye Tianhong, shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” during the rally. He said, “Falun Dafa practitioners held onto their cultivation path despite the suppression. The director of training, who is also a practitioner, often clarified the facts to us. She was not only very patient but used Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to guide us. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is rooted in my heart now. I’m very happy to tell people about Falun Dafa.”
Ye then talked about his understanding of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, “To be true is to pursue the truth, not to be hypocritical or to pretend; to be compassionate is to help others and society, and to develop positive and meaningful good customs. As for forbearance, when we accomplish something, even if the process is very difficult, it might involve a lot of hard work or tribulations. If we have forbearance, we can persist and finally achieve our goal.”
He admired the perseverance practitioners show for their lofty ideals, which he said is to go through the hardships and suppression during the process, and still be able to endure. He said, “When they achieve their goal, that is most important and meaningful.
“Falun Dafa is good! Master Li, your merits are immeasurable! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will definitely succeed. Please continue to persevere. The future will be even better!”
Doctor: Falun Dafa Has Made Great Contributions to Society
Dr. Lin Miaotang praised practitioners’ persistence.
Lin Miaotang, a physician and former chairman of the Pingtung Medical Association, expressed his praise for Falun Dafa with the words: Wisdom, Benevolence, and Courage. “No matter how much the CCP suppresses them, practitioners still continue to carry on. This is courage, benevolence is kindness, and wisdom. I think practitioners have such a spirit, so I use ‘wisdom, benevolence and courage’ these three words to describe them.”
He said Falun Dafa can help modern people tell right from wrong. “Nowadays, society is full of lies, and people are easily confused. We need to read more Falun Dafa media that delivers true messages, so we can better understand the truth.”
He emphasized, “Traditional values such as Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are very much needed by modern people. Falun Dafa has made great contributions to society, allowing everyone to believe in morality.”
Real Estate Owner: Falun Dafa is Beneficial for Society
Mr. Gao, a real estate owner who lived in the U.S. for nearly 50 years, recently returned to Taiwan to visit his family. He said he often saw practitioners’ activities throughout the U.S. “Because all the Falun Dafa friends I have contact with are great people, I feel Falun Dafa must be good.”
He mentioned that the communist evil is rampant around the world, but the CCP fears Falun Dafa the most, “The whole world, including Taiwan, must be alert to the CCP’s conspiracy of infiltration. Falun Dafa is good for the whole human race, and it can awaken people to be alert to the CCP’s infiltration. So it should be spread more actively, then the CCP will not dare to be too rampant.
“If Falun Dafa can flourish, it will have a very positive impact on Taiwan, and even the whole world.” Gao believes that if all trades of human society can follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, it will be very beneficial to society.
“Falun Dafa is Really Something!”
Mr. Xie accompanied his wife to the event and said that although he does not practice, he supports her, “I have always supported my wife’s practice of Falun Dafa. Practitioners not only gain health benefits, but they also treat others with kindness and tolerance. They get along with others, and hold the spirit of compassion and caring for people and things. I think if people can follow these principles the world will definitely be a better place. Falun Dafa can drive the overall positive development of all walks of life, including high-tech industries.”
He expressed his admiration and said, “Falun Dafa is really quite extraordinary. The CCP is the most abominable. It not only persecutes practitioners, it’s behavior is extreme, i.e. forbidding the practice, arresting people, and even harvesting their organs while they are alive. Although what we can do is very limited at a personal level, we have to support Falun Dafa, at least in spirit.”
