(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event in London’s Chinatown on April 16, 2023. They demonstrated Falun Dafa’s five exercises and told people about the spiritual practice and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Many people were more than willing to sign the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s brutality.
Shen Yun had several shows in London during the same time period. Some passersby recognized the Falun Dafa banners after seeing Shen Yun and were pleasantly surprised to see the banners in Chinatown. They signed the petition to support practitioners.

“You Are Delivering a Message of Compassion and Kindness”
Gray and his wife Christina from Lancaster read the information on the display boards and signed the petition to support Falun Dafa practitioners’ efforts to stop the persecution.
Gray, an IT engineer, said, “It is terrible that practitioners are brutally persecuted just for exercising their bodies. People should be able to do what they like. It is their freedom to practice the exercises and do meditation. Everyone should have the freedom of faith.
“People need to unite and governments need to stand together. The United Nations should pay attention to this persecution in China and stop it from happening.”
Christina took a lot of pictures of the poster boards and said, “I will tell more people about this. I am also going to write letters to Members of Parliament describing what I saw today.”
Gray said that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are uplifting. Christina said, “You stand for the truth and deliver the message of compassion and kindness.”

Learning about Falun Dafa after Watching Shen Yun
Mark Allison, an aircraft technician, and his wife saw Shen Yun’s evening performance in London on April 15, 2023. They passed by practitioners’ activity site in Chinatown the next day and recognized the Falun Dafa banner they had seen in a Shen Yun dance program. They signed the petition to help stop the persecution.

Mark learned about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution from Shen Yun. He said that people’s rights should not be stripped away.
He wanted to tell practitioners who are still being persecuted in China, “Believe in yourself and hold true to your faith.” He said that everyone should cultivate the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and have a positive influence on society.
Tourists Praise the Principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Anna Costa and her friend are from Portugal. After learning about the persecution, Anna said, “I have seen news reports about China in Portugal, but I never knew that the persecution was this bad.
“Cultivating the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance can bring peace to the world. I am very interested in Falun Dafa now. I want to learn more about it. I have never seen anything like this in Portugal.” She said she would do her best to tell more people about Falun Dafa.

Muhtu Govindarajah is a retired Malaysian psychologist. He learned about the CCP’s atrocities of forced live organ harvesting from a friend in Hong Kong and was even more shocked to learn that Chinese people are stripped of their basic human rights. “I think that everyone in this world should cultivate the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” he said.

Passionate about Chinese Culture and Wants to Learn about Falun Dafa
David Hughes is a semi-retired Scottish university marine biology teacher and is passionate about the Chinese language and Chinese culture. He attempted to read the Chinese characters on the banners at the Falun Dafa stand.

He said that he was not surprised to learn about the persecution. “You know that China is a totalitarian state and I believe that the CCP does something like this. Though I am not quite familiar, with Falun Dafa, I can see that you are innocent. I do not see any reason for Falun Dafa to be persecuted,” he said.
“I saw people in China practicing Taiji. Falun Dafa is a compassionate philosophy and I do not see any reason anyone should oppose it. One will never have too much compassion or tolerance. Therefore it is a compassionate philosophy.”
David said that he had collected Falun Dafa information materials and will read them to learn more.
He learned about the Chinese saying “Grinding an Iron Pestle into a Needle.” He was impressed by the efforts and dedication of Falun Dafa practitioners in accomplishing their difficult tasks.
