(Minghui.org) Fourteen Falun Gong practitioners in Yanqing District, Beijing, were arrested on September 23, 2024. Most of them had their homes ransacked. Two of their family members, who don’t practice Falun Gong, were also seized by the police.

The sixteen locals are: Mr. Hao Xiufeng, Ms. Liang Fenglian, Ms. Zhang Yanrong, Ms. Yang Xiulan, Ms. Zhang Xiuhua, Ms. Xi Ping, Ms. Wu Zhenye, Ms. Liu Yuling, Ms. Zhang Xiulan, Ms. Zhang Yan (also known as Ms. Zhang Chufeng) and her two sisters (names unknown), Ms. Wang Chaoying and her husband Mr. Guo Zhenfang, Ms. Wu Fangling and her husband Mr. Wang Jianmin. Mr. Guo and Mr. Wang don’t practice Falun Gong.

Three officers knocked on Ms. Yang’s home on the morning of September 23. With a search warrant, they raided her place and dumped all items related to Falun Gong on the ground. Her two computers, a printer, some cash and cell phone were taken away. Two officers later returned photographed the items.

Ms. Wu and Mr. Wang were arrested by officers from the Xiadu Police Station, who accused them of visiting overseas websites by evading the CCP’s Internet censorship. Ms. Wu’s arrest came only seven months after she served a prison term of two years and eight months for practicing Falun Gong. She was also in the process of seeking reinstatement of her suspended pension.

All 13 female practitioners were taken to the Changping Detention Center the night they were arrested. Except for Ms. Zhang Yanrong, Ms. Yang and Ms. Wu who remain in custody, all other female practitioners have been released on bail. Mr. Hao, Mr. Guo and Mr. Wang were held in the Yanqing Detention Center and it’s not clear whether they have been released.
