(Minghui.org) It was recently learned that several practitioners in the Muping District of Yantai City, Shandong Province, were harassed in late September or early October 2024 for their faith in Falun Gong.
Ms. Xu Jin’e, 74, lives alone. She was harassed twice around September 17, 2024 (the Mid-Autumn Festival). The first time, deputy chief Wu and five other officers from the Shuidao Town Police Station confiscated her Falun Gong books. The next time, chief Zhang Shaoping and about seven officers showed up.
Four officers from the Gaoling Town Police Station raided the home of Ms. Yu (first name unknown), an 81-year-old widow, on September 18.
At least four practitioners in the Muping District, including Yu Ye, Zhao Shuping, Jiao Lifeng, and Sun Wenrong, were harassed in late September or early October 2024.
Nine practitioners in Dayao Town, including Liu Zhiqiu, Sun Jianrong, Du Hua, Yu Guangxia, and Zhang Jiamei, were harassed either at home or by phone around October 1, 2024 (China’s national day). The communist regime is notorious for intensifying the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners around sensitive dates.
