(Minghui.org) Even though there’s still a month to go before Christmas, Ontario Province in Canada is filled with a festive atmosphere. Parades that draw thousands are being held throughout the province to celebrate the occasion.
The Tian Guo Marching Band was invited to participate in the Santa Claus Christmas parade in Pickering at 10 a.m. on November 23, 2024. They later drove to Ajax and joined the waist drum team to participate in the Santa’s Spectacle of Lights Parade, which began at 4 p.m..
Practitioners performed upbeat music, passing on the message of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance – the fundamental principles of Falun Dafa. Many spectators took photos and video recordings, and clapped and cheered. Some even walked along with the practitioners. A man took his daughter to attend both parades in Pickering and Ajax, and said the practitioners’ performance was the best.
Practitioners took part in Christmas parades held in Pickering and Ajax on the same day.
“The Tian Guo Marching Band Is Amazing”
Allan (right) and his friend praised the performance by the Tian Guo Marching Band, and thought the principles taught by Falun Dafa can benefit society.
Allan is a salesman from Whitby, Ontario. He and his group took part in the parade in Pickering.
Before the parade began, Allan and members of his group worked hard to prepare their float. When the band started to rehearse, he and his friend were drawn to the music and came to watch. He said the music was amazing, and the costumes were eye-catching and colorful. He took out his phone and recorded the band’s performance.
Both Allan and his friend said the band members looked great and they are of all ages. A practitioner told him that everyone in the band practices Falun Dafa and gave him a flier about the practice. Allan saw the five sets of exercises illustrated on the flier and the three characters Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. He said: “One look at the flier and I know this is a kind of traditional, spiritual practice that brings people inner peace and improves their well being. I think it’s great, particularly in today’s society.”
“People Should Follow Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance”
Bunmi thinks people should follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance.
Bunmi lives in Pickering. She began recording the performance as soon as she heard the Tian Guo Marching Band, and said, “I love their attire, a beautiful blue color, great shoes, everyone looks amazing. I really like them.”
When she learned that Falun Dafa is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, she said that these are excellent values, and people should follow them. It’s important to everyone, and people should work hard to put them into practice.
Agreeing With Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance
Sandi said that the Tian Guo Marching Band was spectacular and the music they played was memorable.
While the Tian Guo Marching Band was rehearsing, Sandi, who works in a bank, took photos and said, “This band is spectacular, the costumes are dazzling, it leaves a deep impression on people. I want to enjoy their music when the parade starts.”
A practitioner offered her a flier and told her about Falun Dafa. Sandi said a friend who lives in Markham City practices Falun Dafa and the friend told her about it. Her friend even gave her a lotus flower with the words “Falun Dafa is great,” and told her that it symbolizes peace. Sandi said that she agrees with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.
“Thank You for Participating in the Parade”
Janice thought the band was impressive and thanked them for participating in the parade.
When the Tian Guo Marching Band passed by, Janice moved with the rhythm of the music. She said, “I saw them in last year’s parade—the music is amazing! So many talented performers, the beat is so uplifting, the music makes people feel wonderful. Their instruments look great. As soon as the band made an appearance, they drew people’s attention. What a talented group of people. I love them! Please tell them: Thank you for attending the parade here, we are truly grateful, it makes us thrilled.”
A practitioner thanked Janice for her compliments and gave her a flier about Falun Dafa. Janice accepted the flier and said that she loved to meditate. She said the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance are important for our society.
