(Minghui.org) I began to practice Falun Dafa in 1997. I realized that, as a practitioner, one has to be a good person. So I worked diligently at my job, without caring about my own self-interest. Empowered by Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) and His benevolent protection, I made several contributions at work that gained recognition and praise from my colleagues and management. This laid a good foundation for my clarifying the truth to them. Here I would like to highlight my experiences of writing letters to validate Dafa and help save sentient beings over the past 20-plus years of my cultivation path.

Writing Truth-Clarification Letters to Management

Over the course of my practicing Dafa, six top executives have come on board in succession at work. The fifth person in charge only stayed for a few months, so I didn’t get a chance to clarify the truth to him. The current company president just recently arrived, and I haven’t had a chance to clarify the truth to him, either. However, I talked to each one of the other four leader about the goodness of Dafa and wrote them letters. 

When I first began practicing, there were a few employees who also practiced Falun Dafa and had very good work performance ratings. Among them, a few were mid-level leaders. At that time, we enthusiastically spread Dafa. Both the top executive and deputy assistant had read Dafa books. In the beginning of the persecution, I used every opportunity to clarify the truth to my colleagues, and they were usually receptive. 

My company once organized our employees to sing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) songs to participate in a competition. Almost every female employee was required to join. The president of the company directed the rehearsal himself and aimed to have a good ranking in the competition. When he organized the rehearsal, I sat in the front row. I didn’t sing the whole time; I only silently recited, “Falun Dafa is wonderful!” and, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!” 

After the rehearsal was over, the president called me over and asked why I didn’t join the others. I calmly told him, “I practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I always told you that heaven will eliminate the CCP. So if I were to sing its praises, wouldn’t I conflict myself and not be truthful?” 

He nodded and said, “Sure, then you don’t have to attend. Please don’t tell others though.” 

When this company president was about to be transferred to another city, I realized that I didn’t help him quit the CCP yet, so I wrote him a letter. At that time, there were several other colleagues in his office, so I just handed the letter to him. After he read it, he asked, “You gave me this?” I replied it that it was the best thing.

He didn’t say anything else before I left the office. It’s a pity that I could not help him quit the CCP. 

At the time, the secretary of the CCP Committee liked to hear me talk about Dafa and often dropped by my office. I understood that his intent was to see if Master had published any new articles. So whenever new articles came out, I showed them to him. He said he expected that the persecution would have ended sooner. Many years after he retired, he still liked to find Dafa practitioners to chat. Last year, he invited a few of us to his home for dinner. I knew Dafa was rooted in his heart. 

During the tenure of the second company president, I was persecuted and had to stay away from home and move from place to place to avoid arrest. Before I returned to work, I wrote a letter to every department head, and to the vice-presidents and above, to explain why I had to leave home, what Dafa is about, that Dafa and Master had been slandered by the CCP, and the global effort to bring the former CCP leader Jiang Zemin to justice. 

I recently learned that those letters I wrote to the person in charge of every department were discussed by employees in secret. They played a great role in helping employees to further learn the truth about Dafa. 

Our top executive reduced my pay for over two years, so I repeatedly wrote to him and the vice-presidents to clarify the truth to them. One vice-president suggested that I bribe the president in secret to get my pay. I thanked him for his concern and talked to him about the principles that practitioners abide by in handling such things, that I should not contribute to the moral decline of society. That vice-president was later promoted to top executive before being transferred to another company. 

There were also vice-presidents who showed sympathy for me. I knew their innate kindness had arisen. 

After the second executive was transferred out, I thought about how to clarify the truth to him and have him write a solemn declaration so as to mitigate his culpability in persecuting practitioners. I heard he later received a heavy prison sentence due to financial problems. I understood this was due to the fact that he participated in the persecution. 

When the third president came on board, I understood that I had to act quickly to clarify the facts to him. Receiving hints from Master, I wrote him a letter covering the basic truths about Falun Dafa. But, unexpectedly, I happened to also give him a copy of a truth-clarification letter I previously gave to a vice-president who already knew the truth. So the unintended letter was more in-depth. 

He read the letter, and it seemed to have a negative impact on him because he began to defame me behind my back. After I realized this, I seriously looked inward to find my shortcomings. I wrote him another letter and mentioned why I practiced cultivation, and who the true guilty parties are in the persecution of Dafa. I wrote about the letters written by righteous people to the top levels of the central government asking for an end to the persecution of Falun Dafa, as well as the righteous lawyers who defend practitioners. I edited this letter over and over again. By the time I was finally convinced that there were no negative elements, I gave a copy to him as well as to other vice-presidents. 

Afterward, my company began to pay me back the salary they’d withheld. At that time, the economy was so tight that a vice-president had to advance money from his own pocket to pay for cafeteria expenses every quarter. Yet, the company gave me one year’s salary in three installments. When I talked to the president about quitting the CCP to ensure his safety, he didn’t believe me the first time; but the second time, he agreed to quit while smiling cheerfully. 

After the fourth executive came to my company, I knew it was another person with a predestined relationship who had come to learn the truth. By making use of the issue of repaying my salary, I also clarified the truth to him. As usual, during the process, there was interference. So I wrote him a few different letters over time, which included the basic truths about Falun Dafa, the current situation, as well as the attitude one should have toward Dafa. 

I then explained many aspects of traditional culture to inspire his kindness. He began to treat the two older practitioner employees kindly. An older practitioner in my company was later persecuted, and someone from the Domestic Security Division ordered my company to stop his pension. I found that official to explain to him that helping practitioners would accumulate virtue, and suggested that he seize the opportunity to try to protect this practitioner. He later called the person in charge to remind her that some companies wouldn’t follow state policy to fully deduct practitioners’ pay. The end result was that this practitioner received a reduced monthly stipend of a few hundred yuan. 

I later mentioned I should have received all of my backpay, and he explained to me about how to work on that step-by-step. But because of my attachments, I didn’t make it work. However, through my truth-clarification efforts, he successfully quit the CCP. He was then transferred to a good company. 

During the time I was persecuted, I intensively clarified the truth to the people in charge of our company. This included giving them the software to break through the Internet blockade and USB drives with truth-clarification content on them. Many of these people learned the truth. For example, one vice-president had trouble browsing Dafa websites and asked me why. I then upgraded the app for breaking through the Internet blockade, gave him a USB drive, and played a truth-clarification movie for him. After he watched part of it, he nodded and said, “Right. This is true!” 

After Master’s article “How Humankind Came to Be” was published, I thought I should have given the former vice-president a copy. One day, I suddenly heard his voice. So I stopped to greet him and gave him a copy of the Minghui Weekly journal, which had the new article in it. I also told him that this is the Fa written by Master Li to all of humankind and encouraged him to carefully read it. He quickly took it and said, “Doing good things every day?” I also reminded him to show it to his family. 

There were also some who protected and helped me amidst the persecution. For example, when police officers came to my workplace to persecute me, the vice-president who was later promoted suggested to the company president not to turn me over to the police, and that Falun Dafa matters could be minimized. 

Moreover, some people in charge learned to handle Falun Dafa matters wisely. This year, when the Provincial Ideology Inspection Team came to my city, I was blacklisted by them. A vice-president came to talk to me. “If the inspection team were to come find you,” he said, “you don’t have to pretend that you stopped practicing, but at least make sure you don’t say that you still practice; otherwise our new president couldn’t afford the consequence.”

I understood his intent. He was asking me to use my wisdom to deal with them. It was like when I clarified the truth to him, I mentioned to him that whatever he didn’t feel like saying to the authorities, he could choose not to say it, and he could use his wisdom to deal with pressure from the higher-ups to persecute Dafa practitioners. He agreed. Regarding the inspection, I asked him to rest assured, as the authorities were also people to be saved. As a practitioner, I understood that I should use my righteous thoughts to handle things. When the inspection team finally came, they just went through the motions and quickly left. 

Writing Letters to Municipal CCP Officials

During the time that I was displaced, fellow practitioners encouraged me to keep on clarifying the truth. Thinking that my company had some influence in the city, I then wrote letters to municipal leaders that included the basic facts about Dafa. Practitioners then mailed them from various locations. 

A practitioner told me that in the beginning of the persecution, some practitioners who went to Beijing to speak out against the unjust persecution were seized by the police and subjected to cruel torture in brainwashing centers. However, when the secretary of the CCP committee in the city told the secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee not to cause any deaths, the brainwashing center stopped using cruel torture methods on practitioners. 

Inspired by that, I decided to write letters to the secretary of the CCP Municipal Committee to dismantle the financial persecution of practitioners by the 610 Office. By chance, I learned that many of the letters to the city’s leaders first passed through the hands of their secretaries. So I carefully structured them to ensure that the secretaries would deliver them to the secretary of the CCP. The way I positioned myself was as follows: I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who cares about my city and hopes it will prosper. 

After I finished writing the letter, I put my heart into selecting font types. I also carefully designed the letter format. The coordinating practitioner organized others to send forth righteous thoughts for a length of time before mailing the letter to the secretary of the CCP Municipal Committee. 

A vice-president in my company later told me (without knowing who wrote the letter to the secretary of the CCP Municipal Committee) that a letter they received mentioned me and another practitioner in my company. I learned that the secretary of the Municipal Party Committee wrote: “Do not bring trouble to the Municipal CCP Committee” on the letter and forwarded it to the 610 Office. Afterward, the 610 Office issued a document to my company to remove my payroll deduction. Moreover, over the next five years, while this secretary was in office, the 610 Office didn’t carry out any major acts of persecution.

This secretary later got transferred to a position that didn’t get involved in persecuting Dafa. 

After I wrote and submitted a lawsuit against the former CCP leader Jiang Zemin, two practitioners in our city were persecuted under order of the provincial police bureau. Four practitioners were later arrested when they were putting up display boards to clarify the truth. In order to rescue them, I decided to write a letter to the secretary of the Municipal Committee. 

The city was engaged in creating “civilized city” activities, so I wrote the letter from the perspective that “a civilized city cannot be created without a civilized rule of law.” The letter described how the local courts and judges commit serious violations of the law in the illegal trials of Dafa practitioners, and that its bad deeds have been widely spread throughout the community of lawyers countrywide. As a result, some well-known lawyers have been reluctant to come to our city to work. I asked the secretary to consider that this practice has hindered the development of our city. 

After that, I cited a series of initiatives, such as the CCP leader Xi abolishing the labor camp system, and the People’s Daily newspaper publishing three consecutive articles interpreting Xi’s speeches on religious policy, which demanded that “Attention be paid to not let differences of belief to expand into political antagonisms.” 

We also mentioned that a large number of officials under former CCP leader Jiang Zemin, who were stained with the blood of practitioners, were taken down. And that some localities were beginning to drop practitioners’ cases on the basis that they were not guilty of any crime. Finally, to inspire him to have kind thoughts and conscience, I also cited the fact that previous secretaries of our city had reaped blessings for treating Dafa practitioners kindly.

The letter was given to practitioners to mail out. I wasn’t sure how this secretary reacted to this letter. But at that time, the practitioners who were arrested for hanging up truth-clarification display boards, which had a big impact on local practitioners’ efforts, only received short sentences. Of course, what was indispensable was that our practitioners formed one body. The arrested practitioners’ families also actively participated in rescuing them. 

During all these years, I have written to five municipal secretaries, to mayors, and to others in connection with local development and the pandemic. Those I wrote to were able to position themselves well and later got promoted.

Mailing Truth-Clarification Letters

This year, I occasionally received information pertaining to the police stations. I then put my heart into writing truth-clarification letters to the police and asked a fellow practitioner to mail them for me. As it turned out, that practitioner had already mailed Master’s new articles to them. So she asked me to mail them out myself. Then I realized I should eliminate my reliance on her. 

The reason I relied on other practitioners to mail the letters came down to my fear, and attachment to leisure. I’d like to share how I managed to eliminate my fear, although the path was bumpy. 

I went to a practitioner’s place to have him print out the letters for me. Sitting in front of his printer, I saw a pair of disposable gloves. Before this, that practitioner told me he had seen reporting on the Minghui website that the authorities identified and persecuted practitioners who made materials by tracking down their fingerprints. So this fellow practitioner was very careful when he printed informational materials. However, this time he didn’t wear gloves and asked me to grab the printed letters. 

In the past, I had thought about this issue. I clearly knew that, as a practitioner, I mobilized my supernormal abilities to do things. Master mentioned in the Fa that whatever we practitioners touched was shinning with energy. So I took the letters, folded them, and put them into envelopes. After that, I had to write out the addresses. I first asked other practitioners to help me, but they said that the police stations had records of all of their signatures, so they couldn’t help me this time. 

I didn’t try to talk them into changing their minds. After I went home, I felt that accomplishing just one thing was rather difficult. Upon thinking about it, I recalled that I also signed paperwork amidst the persecution, so I was a bit concerned. But then I immediately realized that this was fear, and it was something negative. Therefore, I sent forth righteous thoughts to clean out the evil factors. 

Shortly after that, I calmed down and recalled what Master said: 

“When you go home and write a few words—no matter how your handwriting is—it carries gong!” (Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun)

Didn’t Master tell us how to save sentient beings?! I came to understand that I am a practitioner, and I need to follow whatever Master says. Then I stopped fearing writing letters. 

That night, after I took out some envelopes, a practitioner came over. I didn’t feel it was coincidental, so I asked her if she could help me address the envelopes. She quickly did it for me. Then I started thinking about how to mail them out. There were many surveillance cameras and some practitioners were persecuted for mailing truth-clarification letters, so my fear flared up again. I immediately realized that this was evil interfering with my saving sentient beings, and I should eliminate it. 

I had a dream that night in which I was climbing a mountain. Towards the end, I didn’t want to look around or think about it; I just kept going up by reciting the Fa-rectification formulas. In the end, I finally reached the top. I understood it was Master telling me what to do. The next day, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts and threw the truth-clarification letters into a mailbox. For the following few days, I specifically sent forth righteous thoughts for the heads of the police stations to read the letters carefully. 

In the process of my writing truth-clarification letters, I came to realize that when writing these letters, we have to let the recipients sense that we are people with goodness and compassion, as opposed to making them feel that we are indifferent. We should write from the perspective of the other person and put ourselves in their shoes. We should never take things for granted and say whatever we feel like saying. We should also clearly tell the other party how to behave and show them a bright path.
