(Minghui.org) I am 73 years old and have practiced Falun Dafa for 26 years. I recovered from many incurable illnesses and my family has benefited a lot from Dafa. My whole family feels happy, has experienced the extraordinariness of Dafa, and is grateful to Master Li, the founder of the spiritual practice.
There are eight people in my family. My husband and I are retired and live in our old home. We have a $1,400 monthly pension and live a worry-free life. My two sons live in their new homes in a town in the county.
Before practicing Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong), I had many illnesses and I spent a lot of my earnings treating them. After taking up the practice, I became healthy and have not taken medicine for 26 years. This saved us a lot of money.
My husband had heart disease before practicing Falun Gong. We saved a lot of money to prepare for his surgery. However, he recovered after practicing Falun Gong for a while. He said, “Dafa is extraordinary. I would not believe it if I just heard others saying that reading the book and practicing the exercises would heal illnesses. But this is true and verified. I truly believe now.” He improved his xinxing and his health changed for the better. Other illnesses were gone, too. He is happy every day and tells people that Falun Dafa is good.
He has joined projects to raise awareness about the persecution. He was arrested, but continued practicing after being released. We set up a group Fa study site at my home that’s been going for over 20 years.
My Oldest Son Is Blessed
My oldest son supports us practicing Dafa. He listened to recordings of Master’s lectures and knows Dafa is righteous though he does not practice it yet. He drove our three-wheel truck to give practitioners in our village a ride to the train station when we went to participate in the April 25 appeal. He was blessed for his kind deed.
He joined the army when he grew up. After he finished his service and was discharged, he was sent to work in a township grain department. He got married to a kind and beautiful woman. She worked in a medical facility in the township.
One day my son came home and told me he was transferred to a town in the county. I was stunned and wondered how much money he spent on a bribe to make that happen. I asked him in low voice how much money he spent to get connections. He said he did not spend a penny. I realized that it was Master’s arrangement.
A few years later, he bought a three bedroom apartment in a good location. Down the road, he bought a car and a new apartment.
My granddaughter stayed with me when she was young. She was healthy and did not take any medicine. When she felt unwell, she recited the two phrases “Falun Dafa is good,” and, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She would recover shortly thereafter. She recited Master’s poems when she got a little older. She wrote the words “Falun Dafa is good” on the wall after she learned how to write in school.
After my granddaughter graduated from college, she wanted to take the civil service exam. My son and his wife were worried because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong and does not allow practitioners and their family members to take the exam.
One time when my son talked with me, he said that if officials came to do a background check on him and asked if I practiced Falun Gong and that I’d better not admit to it. Even during the peak of the CCP’s persecution I never said I was not a practitioner. I told him there was nothing was wrong with being a good person who lives by Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. He was not happy. A few days later, he came back again and asked me, “Mom, can you agree with me for the future of my daughter?” I knew this wasn’t easy for him. I told him gently, “How about I post online that I’m disowning you. Do you agree?” He was silent and left.
Later, my granddaughter went after a job that only had one position in the whole county. She got an offer to work in a financial department with good pay.
During the pandemic, I stayed in my son’s house. Three family members tested positive, but my husband and I did not. My son and his wife believed more and more that Falun Dafa is good and appreciated Dafa. My son also drove me around to raise awareness about the persecution.
My Second Son
My second son was unemployed for some time and one day called me in tears, “Mom, I don’t have a job.” He only had a middle school education. We were poor at the time and had no connections. I thought of the principle of following the course of nature as each person has his or her own destiny. I should listen to Master and follow the path arranged for me.
Later, my son started his own business and it’s been going smoothly for him. Within a few years, he bought a new apartment and got married. A month later, the home price increased a lot and he also bought two cars. One day he happily said he had good luck. His wife was able to get a full-time job and move on from her temporary one.
I took care of their son when they went to work. My in-laws praised me for raising my grandson well. I played Dafa music and Master’s lectures for him every day. He was a happy boy. I held him and distributed fliers when he was a few months old. Later, I brought him to distribute fliers in other villages. He smiled when he handed out a flier.
One year on Chinese New Year’s Eve, I brought him to put up banners. He shouted while I was posting a banner, “Granny, there is a wishing lantern in heaven.” He pressed both hands together and said, “I wish that all people believe, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’” I was stunned that such a young child could say those words.
My grandson did not get a good education in elementary school, so his father spent money to get him enrolled in a better middle school. His father worried that he would not get into high school after he finished middle school, but he was recruited to a high school after the school lowered its acceptance score.
Amazingly, my grandson’s grades changed for the better during his first year in high school. He got six awards, one of which was a star achievement award. His scores were in the top three for several courses. I asked him what made him progress so quickly. He smiled and said, “I believe that Falun Dafa is good.”
Dafa has given me a happy family. I cannot express my gratitude to Master with human language. I must progress diligently and shoulder my historic responsibility. My whole family appreciates Master and Dafa.
