(Minghui.org) I had a dream one night in which I was walking along the road, that was surrounded by tall buildings. Someone suddenly shouted, “Run! There’s a big flood moving towards us!” I saw the flood, I turned around and ran, and then I found myself flying.
Some people who were in front of me were flying too. They were practitioners who landed at places high enough where the water couldn’t reach. A large group of people was behind me, looking horrified. I yelled, “Quickly recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!’” And they all shouted the auspicious phrase in unison.
I continued to shout, “Hurry up and quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.” They all shouted, “I quit!” Then they walked into a room to record their names on the list of quitting the CCP organizations. I then noticed that the flood disappeared, everyone smiled and sighed in relief.
After waking up, I thought about the dream. That time I realized that I didn’t help these people to renounce the CCP. They were on the list of quitting the CCP that practitioners had collected. I submitted the list last night, and it contained more than 400 names.
Eliminating My Attachments: Gaining Access to the Internet
Due to poor Internet access the past few months, practitioners couldn’t transmit the list to the website in a timely manner, so they passed it on to me instead. It took me three days to transmit the list, and I came to understand that breaking through the Internet blockage is also part of cultivation.
I couldn’t use the Internet for a week last November. My first thought was that my computer had issues and had to be fixed. Then another practitioner said that he couldn’t access the Internet either with his brand new computer. I felt relieved that it wasn’t a computer issue. What was the problem then? It didn’t occur to me to look inward.
I got anxious when I still couldn’t access the Internet after another two weeks and wondered what to do with the list of quitting the CCP. The submission of the names is the final step of the process, so was there something wrong with our group?
I asked Master (the founder of Falun Dafa) for help, sent forth righteous thoughts, and searched inward. I discovered selfishness, the attachment of wanting to depend on others and to be comfortable. I thought of giving the list to practitioners who had access to the Internet but didn’t think of the pressure it would bring them. I wanted to push my responsibility away before trying to solve my problem first. I thought my computer issue would be fixed after a practitioner updated the software.
I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate these attachments, and with Master’s help, I quickly submitted the list and downloaded some recordings and information materials.
A List of More Than Four Hundred People
This time a practitioner gave me a list of more than 400 people. I split it into 8 groups to avoid duplicating the names. I double-checked the list and waited to connect to the Internet. As the software kept searching for the server, I continued to repel negative thoughts. Besides I burned incense in the morning and asked Master for help.
It was not until the third evening that I finally connected to the Minghui website. I was bursting with joy. I submitted one group of names and then it stopped working. I realized it was the result of my attachment to zealotry. So I tried to get rid of it, and the Internet connection came back. I then thought that I shouldn’t be over-zealous, and it got stuck again.
It was just as Master said in Lecture Six of Zhuan Falun. As the story goes, it talks of an Arhat who got knocked down because he was afraid of getting excited. I stepped away from the computer and sent forth righteous thoughts. I was surrounded by a field of righteous energy, and I knew it was time to get back to the computer. Sure enough, everything went smoothly.
That night I had the dream that more than 400 people completed the “three withdrawals” process. They had warm smiles on their faces.
As practitioners, we know that sickness karma is an illusion that we should overcome. The Internet blockage is also an illusion that we need to break through, as it is part of our cultivation.
