(Minghui.org) The Big Four Arts Festival was held in Waterfront Park in Louisville, Kentucky on September 7-8, 2024, attracting more than 150 participating artists and more than 20,000 visitors. Falun Dafa practitioners also participated in the event and demonstrated the Dafa exercises, distributed information materials and talked to people about the benefits of this mind-body cultivation practice.

Introducing Falun Dafa
A woman stopped at the Falun Dafa booth with her daughter and said she wanted to practice meditation but never had time. A practitioner explained that Falun Dafa’s guiding principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and that the five sets of exercises are simple and easy to learn. She said they can relieve stress and improve physical and mental health.
The woman was happy to learn that there was an exercise site near her home and that she could learn the exercises for free. Her daughter said she studied Chinese and had some understanding of Chinese culture. The practitioner told them about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China and the forced organ harvesting of practitioners and other prisoners of conscience, who have their organs harvested while they are alive.
Several children and their parents came to the booth and asked how to read the Chinese characters “Falun Dafa” and “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.” A high school student was very interested and learned the exercises on the spot after listening to the introduction about Falun Dafa.
Two little girls, aged about eight or nine, loved the handmade lotus flowers that practitioners distributed. Their father, a doctor, said he had read many books on philosophy and faith, but he still had questions. After he briefly read through Zhuan Falun, he bought two books, Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong, and thanked the practitioners for being there and introducing Falun Dafa.
People Understand the Truth About the Persecution
A man said he’d been to Hong Kong and Taiwan, and couldn’t understand why Falun Dafa was persecuted in China. A practitioner explained it was because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a centralized rule, and it’s afraid of Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and afraid of losing power.
Although this cultivation practice has nothing to do with politics, when the number of Falun Dafa practitioners in China exceeded the number of CCP members, the Party leader ordered that Falun Dafa be persecuted.
The practitioners talked to two women about the persecution in China, and told them about the detention, torture, forced labor, and live organ harvesting that innocent practitioners face there. The women said they were shocked, and remarked that they thought such things only happened in novels.
