Mr. Sun Wenchang, of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested in December 2000 for his faith in Falun Gong. He was given one year of forced labor at the Yichun City Labor Camp.
The guards forced him to do hard labor without for long hours. He was not allowed to sleep whenever he failed to finish his quota. He developed a serious medical condition and his vision became blurry. He never recovered after he was released in December 2001 and died months later. He was in his 60s.
