(Minghui.org) I’m a 78-year-old woman from the countyside. When I was young, I had tuberculosis and only went to school for four years. In 1996, I began to practice Falun Dafa. I knew that I should believe in Master and Dafa, and act according to the Fa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Master asks us to save people, so I often went out to clarify the truth.
When I started doing this, I didn’t dare talk to people face to face, so I just distributed the truth clarification materials. One night, when I put the materials in the gap of a door in a residential area, I heard a voice from inside asking what I was doing. I was not afraid and answered: “I’m here to save people.” The person inside didn’t say anything else, and I went back home. Since then, I had no more fear. I know Master has taken away the substance of fear in me, and I now dare to talk to people to tell them the facts directly.
Reaching Out to the Village Head and CCP Branch Secretary
I thought that if I explained the truth to the village head, he would protect Dafa practitioners. I went to his home and told him that protecting practitioners would bring him blessings. After he understood the truth, I continued, “In the future, if you receive Dafa materials, don’t hand them in to the higher authorities. If you do, they will say you didn’t do a good job.” He agreed.
Someone later told him that Falun Dafa practitioners had distributed the materials again, to which he replied, “Why do you care about that? Just let them do it.”
I once heard from a practitioner that because the village Chinese Communist Party (CCP) branch secretary’s mother-in-law practiced Falun Dafa, the branch secretary was afraid that he would be implicated. He often beat and scolded his wife to indirectly blame her mother. I went to their home and told him the truth about Dafa. He asked me if I could get him a copy of Zhuan Falun to read, and I said I would. After I gave him Zhuan Falun, he no longer beat or scolded his wife, and even protected our practitioners.
Several practitioners in our village took the initiative to clear the streets when it snowed in the winter. We started by doing things for others’ sake according to Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. As a result, several practitioners in our village have never been persecuted.
Going Everywhere to Spread the Goodness of Dafa
I clarify the truth regardless of location or occasion, and tell everyone I meet about the goodness of Dafa. Every day before I leave home, I ask Master to strengthen me to save people. My thought is that no matter whether people want to hear the truth or not, I would tell them. It’s their choice to listen or not. Expaining the truth about Dafa is my responsibility.
When I meet someone who doesn’t want to hear the truth, I think it must be because I didn’t cultivate well and didn’t explain the situation clearly to the other person. I then hope that the next time this person meets another practitioner, they will definitely accept the truth and have a bright future. When someone is willing to listen to the truth, I also tell them to remember that Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good, and that quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations will ensure their safety.
When my son’s friend saw me, he shouted out, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance is good!” He told me that he would learn Dafa from me when he had time and let me be his master.
My son told him, “There is only one Master of Dafa!”
I concurred, “Yes, if you want to learn, we are all fellow practitioners.”
If I want others to agree that Dafa is good, I must strictly require myself to follow the standards of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and follow Master’s teachings—To always consider others first, and show the beauty of Dafa to everyone I meet.
During the past 20 years of clarifying the truth, whether to my relatives, neighbors, or other villagers, they would accept my words and say simliar things like, “I believe what you say because you are a sincere person and you speak the truth.”
No one has ever reported me to the authorities. No matter what orders came from higher-ups, the village officials never came to my home to find me, and they never called my son. I had long told my son that he should walk his own path, and I should walk mine. My son has never interfered with my clarifying the truth and saving people. Under Master’s protection, I have walked my cultivation path to this day in an upright manner.
I would like to take this opportunity to say to Master, “Please rest assured, Master, I will do my best to save more people and fulfill my mission, cultivate myself well, and live up to your salvation.”
I know that I still have many attachments, but I believe that only by persisting in studying the Fa and constantly improving my xinxing can I walk my path of cultivation well.
