(Minghui.org) Three residents of Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, were admitted to prison for their faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.
Ms. Feng Zhijie, Ms. Ma Xiuhua, and Mr. Zhao Wei were arrested on October 14, 2023. Their Falun Gong books, computers, and printers were confiscated during the home raids. The two women were taken to the Qiqihar City Detention Center the next day. It is unclear where Mr. Zhao was taken.
The trio stood trial on April 12, 2024, and were later sentenced at an unknown time. Ms. Feng and Mr. Zhao were both given three years with a 5,000-yuan fine. Ms. Ma received one and a half years with a 1,500-yuan fine.
The Minghui.org website recently learned that all three practitioners were admitted to prison, with Ms. Feng and Ms. Ma taken to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison and Ms. Ma to an unknown prison.
