(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Yonglin Taken to Prison Hospital
2. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chang Yahua Detained
3. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fu Wenquan Detained
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chi Enhong Released After Serving Six Months
5. [Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhang Jinghua Detained
6. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested or Detained
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Yonglin Taken to Prison Hospital
Mr. Zhou Yonglin was sentenced to five years in prison on March 15, 2021, and is scheduled to be released on January 20, 2026. His family was informed recently that he was in critical condition and had been transferred from Nanshan Prison in Jinzhou City to the Lingyuan Prison Hospital. His family requested that the prison release him on medical parole, but was denied.
2. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chang Yahua Detained
Ms. Chang Yahua was arrested on August 28, 2025, and has since been detained.
3. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fu Wenquan Detained
Mr. Fu Wenquan, a taxi driver, was arrested at home on October 15, 2025, by plainclothes officers from the Caoshi Town Police Station and Qingyuan County Domestic Security Division. Several Falun Gong books were confiscated. He was beaten and bled from the nose. The police accused him of visiting oversea websites and posting information about Falun Gong online. He is currently being held in the Dashagou Lockup.
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chi Enhong Released After Serving Six Months
Mr. Chi Enhong, 76, was released on October 15, 2025, after serving a six-month term.
5. [Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhang Jinghua Detained
Zhang Jinghua was arrested by Qingyunbao Town Police Station officers around October 15, 2025, and detained for five days.
6. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested or Detained
Ms. Liu Chunlan, in her 50s, was arrested by several officers from the Wangjia Police Station and Liaoning Province Public Security Bureau on the morning of September 30, 2025. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. The police also ransacked the home of her deceased mother later that morning.
Ms. Liu was taken to the Wangjia Police Station for interrogation. She was ordered to step on a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, which she refused. She was taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center late in the evening, for ten days, and released on October 10, 2025. She noticed a car outside of her apartment building on October 13, 2025, with officers inside monitoring her.
Ms. Yang Yanhua, around 60, Mr. Zhang Xiansheng, in his 60s, and Ms. Zhang Lijuan, around 57, were arrested by officers from the Lishi District Police Department. They were taken to the Wangjia Police Station in Shenyang City and later transferred to the Huanggu District Detention Center. Ms. Zhang, Mr. Zhang, and Ms. Yang were released on October 10, October 15, and October 16, 2025, respectively.
Ms. Wang Jiemei’s daughter and son-in-law were arrested at their workplaces by officers from the Lishi District Police Department on the morning of October 14, 2025. Their home was ransacked when no one was at home. Ms. Wang’s son-in-law had a heart rate of over 300 beats per minute, and he collapsed in the police department. The police held him in a metal chair, spread his nasal discharge on the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, then placed the photo under his buttocks. The couple was released in the evening.
