(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held events in several cities throughout the Netherlands. In Wassenaar on November 8, 2025, a local newspaper, De Wassenaarse Krant, reported on their Falun Dafa Information Day.
Wassenaar, a town in the province of South Holland, is part of the Haaglanden region and the Rotterdam–The Hague metropolitan area. It is known for its traditional countryside villas and the Netherlands’ most affluent residential neighborhoods and summer resorts. King Willem-Alexander and his family lived in Wassenaar until 2019. Renbaan Duindigt, the oldest harness and horse racing venue in the Netherlands, is also located in Wassenaar.
Falun Dafa practitioners set up their booth on Langstraat around noon, and a photographer from De Wassenaarse Krant took pictures of their exercise demonstration. Local residents who heard about the activities came to sign a petition in support of Falun Dafa.

A man from Portugal happened to be visiting his friend in Wassenaar. He told practitioners in fluent Chinese that he taught Modern Chinese history and knew about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. He took a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other brochures in Chinese.

Ms. Jna Wetgeest signed the petition and drew a heart around her name. She said she agreed with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and didn’t like Xi Jinping’s dictatorship. She wished practitioners good luck.
After talking with a practitioner, Mr. Wiuen Brant and his wife signed the petition. Mr. Brant said Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance were important principles that everyone should follow, and that he didn’t like communism. “The Chinese Communist Party shouldn’t decide what people do. People in China who don’t obey the Party are persecuted,” he said.
