(Minghui.org) On November 9, 2025, Falun Dafa practitioners held an activity on Dam Square in Amsterdam. This square has historically been a place for people with different backgrounds to come together and share their story with the public—a fitting setting for the practitioners’ event to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution in China.
During the four-hour long event, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and told people about the spiritual discipline and the persecution in China.

Introducing Falun Dafa and raising awareness of the CCP’s persecution
People from different countries, as well as from China, stopped to listen to practitioners. Some took informational materials and others signed a petition to the G7+7 nations to stop the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting that targets Falun Dafa practitioners in China.

Doctor: Forced Organ Harvesting Is a Clear Violation of Medical Ethics
Dr. Jeanine Meijer, a doctor and medical advisor who lives in Amsterdam, has worked with doctors from China. When she noticed the petition to stop organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners in China, she felt compelled to sign it.
“These scandalous practices are unworthy of humankind. It’s a form of abuse and oppression, intimidation, you name it,” said Dr. Meijer.
She was appalled by the CCP’s forced organ harvesting operations and said that this was a black and white issue. “Medical ethics are so clear that this is simply a no-go. It seems to me that it’s beyond medical ethics for everyone, for every human being, that we don’t do this kind of thing,” she said.
To Dr. Meijer, Falun Dafa’s values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are beneficial for society. “Those [values] are self-evident things for me. That’s how I grew up—I grew up in freedom. But it’s important to pay attention to these [values] in societies where it’s not self-evident.” She said that she would discuss this topic with her medical colleagues.
Software Engineer: Persecution Is a Battle Between Morality and Immorality
Nemanja Šimšić, a software engineer, and his friend from Serbia, Stefan Tot, stopped at the petition booth and signed to offer their support.

“I think on a moral and fundamental level, every person should be safe from organ harvesting. It’s a really morally incorrect thing to do. Every life should be of equal value—that’s my main reason for signing this petition,” said Šimšić.
Tot added, “It’s really inhumane. It’s a really sad thing.”
Šimšić believes that everyone should adhere to Falun Dafa’s values and that they embody righteous morality. “It kind of goes together with the whole situation about organ harvesting. Because on one hand, we have the immoral people [Chinese Communist Party] that are harvesting organs and selling them, and on the other hand, we have people [Falun Dafa practitioners] who are united in this practice and meditation. So I think it’s really important for people to join together and practice [Falun Dafa],” he said. Tot also said that Falun Dafa felt like a “very pure idea.”
“Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance Are the Cornerstones of My Daily Life”
Shareef Salahudeen, an accountant from Pakistan, works in the Netherlands. He and his wife signed the petition. This was the first time he heard about the persecution of Falun Dafa and the forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, but he said he was glad he could support the cause.
“Today, everyone in power is doing their own thing, and the people who are affected are the innocent ones. When there is awareness being spread, you should stop and listen. If we can do something, that is the least we can do,” he said.
He also said that the persecution was “morally wrong. One day, I believe all these people [who persecute Falun Dafa] will have to answer for their actions. It is honestly heartbreaking as a human being to see something like this happening.”
He said the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance resonated with him. “These [values] are, at least for my belief, the cornerstones of my daily life as well. Just the fact that people like this, and this is what they stand for [Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance], and they are being persecuted for it shows us how wrong the world is at the moment. What the Chinese regime is doing is not acceptable.”
Women Hope the Persecution Ends
Ines Farssi and her friends Chahinaj Chet and Iris-Emilie Toto, all from Paris, signed the petition. They listened to a detailed explanation of what is going on in China and seemed grateful for the informational materials.

“I don’t agree with what’s happening. And all of this should stop. Organs are vital. And killing people for them isn’t right. People are dying because of this and it’s not right,” said Farssi.
“We hope, that with our petitions, the signatures, it will all stop,” added Toto.
