(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Su Jingwen Facing Trial

1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Su Jingwen Facing Trial
Ms. Su Jingwen was arrested at home by officers from the Yuelu District Police Department on July 22, 2024, and has since been detained. She is scheduled to stand trial in the Yuelu District Court on January 24, 2025.
2. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Zhenxiang Arrested and Detained
Ms. Yan Zhenxiang was arrested at home by officers from the Chengdong Police Station and local community staff members on January 20, 2025. She was first taken to the police station and is now detained in the Xiaogan City Lockup.
3. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Hou Jing Arrested and Detained
Ms. Hou Jing, who works at the Gaoxin Hi-tech Development Zone, was arrested by officers from the Chang’an Road Police Station in Beilin District on the morning of January 8, 2024. She was body-searched and interrogated in the police station. The police also tortured her using a tiger bench. Her home was ransacked in the afternoon. Her printer, paper cutter, and 5000 yuan in cash were confiscated. The police returned only the cash later on, but not other items. Ms. Hou was released on January 23, 2025, after 15 days at the Xi’an City Lockup.
4. [Beijing] Six Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Six practitioners from Zhangzuo Village, Jinhaihu Town of Pinggu District were arrested around late April 2024 and sentenced by the Pinggu District Court in late December 2024. Ms. Ji Guixia was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and fined 9,000 yuan; Ms. Zhang Xiuping was given three and a half years and a fine of 7,000 yuan; Ms. He Xiuyun received one year with a 2,000-yuan fine; Ms. Li Xiurong was sentenced to nine months and fined 2,000 yuan; Tang Xiaojin, gender unknown, was given nine months with a 2,000-yuan fine; and Ms. Wang Yufeng was sentenced to a seven-month term with a 2,000-yuan fine.
