(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Two Sisters Arrested, One Faces Prosecution
Ms. Li Yumei and her sister Ms. Li Yufen from Bairin Left Banner were arrested and had their home searched by officers from the Bairin Left Banner Police Department on April 25, 2025. Ms. Li Yumei developed heart problems at the Bairin Left Banner Lockup and was released after six days. Ms. Li Yufen was held at the Bairin Left Banner Detention Center. She is now facing prosecution after the police submitted her case to the Bairin Left Banner Procuratorate. Her family hired a lawyer for her and the lawyer is facing retaliation for saying that practicing Falun Gong doesn’t violate the law.
2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Xu Shichuan Arrested
Practitioner Xu Shichuan, gender unknown, was arrested on the afternoon of July 16, 2025, after getting off work. Xu is being held at the Dafeng Police Station in Xindu District.
3. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fu Qiurong and Ms. Li Yufang Arrested
Ms. Fu Qiurong, in her 60s, was arrested at home on the morning of July 17, 2025. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Li Yufang, around 70, from Beishayaojia Village, was arrested by three officers from the Xinjia Police Station on the morning of July 17, 2025, when she was distributing Falun Gong materials at a farmers market. Her home was ransacked.
Both practitioners were taken to the Yantai City Detention Center.
4. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Tian Xianyan Arrested
Mr. Tian Xianyan, from Huancui District, was arrested on the evening of July 16, 2025, by officers from the local Domestic Security Division and police station. He is being held in the Weihai City Lockup.
5. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Huo Qianying’s Home Ransacked
Officer Jiang Junmin, from the Beilin District Domestic Security Division, with officers from the Hongying Road Police Station, broke into the home of Ms. Huo Qianying, a retired teacher from Xi’an Sports University, on June 26, 2025. They confiscated her cell phone, computer, Zhuan Falun, and other books.
6. [Shanghai] Four Practitioners Monitored and Followed
Ms. Shao Hongzhen, Ms. Ni Cuiping, Ms. Qian Xiujuan, and Ms. Cai Yufang have been monitored and followed by the local 610 Office and police since July 16, 2025.
7. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Guihua and Ms. Tian Fengying Harassed
Officials in Tianbei Village, Tianyi Town, Ningcheng County, harassed Ms. Wang Guihua on July 2, 2025 and ordered her to write a statement to renounce Falun Gong. The police returned on July 3 and threatened to detain Ms. Wang if she did not write the statement.
Officers from the Ningcheng County Police Department broke into Ms. Tian Fengying’s home in early July 2025 and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong.
8. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yan Qun Harassed; Daughter Detained in a Psychiatric Hospital
Ms. Yan Qun, in her 80s, was harassed at home in March 2025. The police attempted to take photos of her, but were stopped by her daughter. In retaliation, the police arrested her daughter and detained her at a psychiatric hospital. She called several times and demanded to be released, but to no avail.
9. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Hongjun Arrested
Mr. Song Hongjun was arrested at home by officers from the Shahe Town Police Station on the morning of July 8, 2025. They confiscated two laptops and several Falun Gong books. He was released from the police station in the afternoon due to health reasons and the strong demand of his family.
10. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Gao Xiaoying Admitted to Prison to Serve a Seven-Year Term
Mr. Gao Xiaoying, around 40 and a food testing professional, was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Qindu District Court, after a hearing on May 14, 2024. He was admitted to the Weinan Prison some time in May or June 2025.
