(Minghui.org) The Minghui School located in the Kanto region of Japan held a three-day summer camp from July 31 to August 2, 2025. Ten young practitioners from 4-12 participated in the event. This was the first time four of them participated.
The event took place at the Youth Activity House on the coast of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The facility is designed for groups of young people to learn about the natural environment and develop their independence. Besides studying the Fa (teachings) and practicing the Falun Dafa exercises the children played on the beach and connected with nature. The event also included a fireworks displays and making pizza, creating a fun and educational experience for them.
Campers practice the Falun Dafa exercises
The children were proactive in studying the Fa and practicing the exercises. Even though they live in Japan, almost all of them can read Zhuan Falun in Chinese. Some children who never meditated for a full hour persevered and were able to do it with the group.

During the second day’s activity, the boys missed the exercises due to a schedule conflict, leaving only the girls to complete them. However, the boys took the initiative to catch up after dinner.
After a year, the young Falun Dafa practitioners have grown significantly. Not only has their understanding of cultivation deepened, but they’ve also become more proactive. This greatly pleased their parents.
Fun Activities
The children studied the Fa and practiced the exercises in the morning. Then, in the afternoon, they walked to the beach, equipped with small fishing nets, crab hooks and bait (dried squid), and buckets, to catch small fish and crabs. The boys and girls were divided into groups, and worked together to catch fish and crabs. The boys were cooperative and caught a few. They placed what they caught in buckets for observation and afterwards released them.

Everyone cleaned their beds and rooms and packed their belongings after breakfast on the last day of summer camp. Under the guidance of the instructors, the children kneaded dough, rolled out flatbread, cut and arranged vegetables, and chopped wood to make the fire, while the adults assisted them to make homemade pizza.
After two hours of hard work, the children finally had a delicious, hot handmade pizza. The first time they tasted the pizza they made they said they felt a profound sense of accomplishment as they happily ate it. Afterward, they divided up the work, cleaning the utensils and tools, sweeping the floor, and wiping the tables. The entire process took nearly four hours.
Enjoying fireworks after dinner
After dinner, the children went to the yard to set off fireworks. They were excited and laughed heartily. Because Japan has strict regulations on the use of fire, the children enjoyed a rare opportunity to unleash their enthusiasm for fireworks.
The young practitioners felt the experience was very rewarding and they are already looking forward to next year’s summer camp.
