(Minghui.org) Minghui.org previously reported on the intensified persecution of Falun Gong practitioners across China ahead of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) massive military parade that was held on September 3, 2025. This report presents newly confirmed cases in Jinchang City, Gansu Province.

Between late August and early September 2025, the Jinchang City Police Department directed its subordinate police stations to collect local Falun Gong practitioners’ fingerprints and blood samples. At least 12 locals were confirmed to have been subjected to the new round of persecution over the course of two weeks. Eight of them had their blood samples and fingerprints collected.

One on August 24

Ms. Liu Zhiping returned from a walk at 9 p.m. on August 24 to find herself sandwiched by two plainclothes officers at the entrance of her apartment building. They followed her home. When her husband opened the door for her, one officer barged in and said he was from the Jinchang City Police Department. His partner and a third officer also went inside and said they were there to take Ms. Liu to the local police station to have her DNA and fingerprints collected.

Two on August 25

Four men came to Ms. Chen Guifang’s store just past 11 a.m. on August 25. One of them asked if she recognized him. She said no and he reminded her that he come to her shop in April this year. He then showed pictures of her on his cell phone. Only then did she realize they had been monitoring her and taking photos of her for months without her knowledge or consent. She asked to see his ID and he flashed it quickly. He said they were from the Beijing Road Police Station and needed her fingerprints.

Ms. Chen refused to go with them to the police station and they threatened with her grandson’s education. One officer video-recorded her. A second locked the door. The other two dragged her to their cruiser.

The police collected Ms. Chen’s fingerprints and blood sample. An officer, not one of the above, asked her if she knew him. She had no recollection and he said he was the one who was reported on Minghui.org for persecuting local Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Chen then realized he was Qi Shicheng, an officers with the Beijing Road Police Station. He confirmed his name.

Around noon on August 25, the Xinhua Road Police Station chief led four officers to arrest Ms. Wang Yueying, in her 70s. They asked if a certain Falun Gong practitioner gave her a copy of an article written by Falun Gong’s founder. She saw through their tricks to frame that practitioner and did not answer them. They collected her blood sample and fingerprints. She was then released.

Two on August 26

A male officer from the Guilin Road Police Station called Ms. Kong Guiying, in her 80s, around 9 a.m. on August 26. He ordered her to report to the police station to give her fingerprints and blood sample. She refused.

Around the same time, a female officer from the same police station harassed Ms. Ma Yongyan, in her 50s, on the phone. Ms. Ma also refused to give her fingerprints or blood sample. The police chief led four officers to Ms. Ma’s home twice on September 6, first around 3 p.m. and then around 7 p.m. She was not there. Her neighbor told her about the police attempt to harass her.

One on September 1

The Binhe Road Police Station chief and four officers arrested Ms. Li Dexiang, in her 60s, on September 1. They collected her saliva, blood sample and fingerprints. She was then released.

Six on September 6

Officers from the Guangzhou Road Police Station harassed Ms. Wei Fengling, in her 80s, on the phone on September 6. When she refused to report to them to give her fingerprints and blood sample, they called her son, who lived out of town, to intimidate him.

The Xinhua Road Police Station chief led four officers and collected the fingerprints and blood sample of Ms. Li Yuzhen, in her 80s, at her home on the afternoon of September 6.

Ms. Wang Yuhong, in her 50s, received multiple phone calls from the Jinchuan Road Police Station on September 6. She refused to report to them and give her fingerprints and blood sample. Her neighbor told her the police station chief brought four officers to knock on her door around 8 p.m. on September 8, when she was not there.

Chief Xiao from the Jiaojiazhuang Police Station in Yongchang County (which is under the administration of Jinchang City) led officers to harass Ms. Wang Wanfang (in her 80s), Ms. Wang Yongfang (in her 50s), and Mr. Qin Dexin (in his 50s) on September 6. The police collected the three practitioners’ blood samples and fingerprints at their respective homes.
