(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Jun Arrested
2. [Xinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Pang Jingzhen Arrested
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Xianyan Officially Arrested
4. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Licheng’s Current Situation Unknown
5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Wang Detained
6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yingling Released After Serving Three Years
7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wu Rui and His Wife Ms. Li Ruihua Harassed
8. [Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zeng Xiaoli Released After Serving Five Years
9. [Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Huiqin Arrested
10. [Guyuan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Dongfeng’s Home Ransacked
1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Jun Arrested
Ms. Xu Jun, in her 50s, was arrested by Hancheng Police Station officers while talking to people about Falun Gong at Hancheng farmers market at around 8:30 a.m. on August 21, 2025. She was taken to Lubei District Police Department and not allowed to meet with her family. She was transferred to Tangshan City Lockup that evening.
2. [Xinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Pang Jingzhen Arrested
Seven officers arrested Ms. Pang Jingzhen on August 21, 2025 after they broke in by scaling the fence.
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Xianyan Officially Arrested
Ms. Tian Xianyan was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested and her home ransacked by Huancui District Domestic Security Division officers on July 16, 2025. She has been detained since. Her arrest was approved by the Procuratorate on August 21, 2025.
4. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Licheng’s Current Situation Unknown
Mr. Yang Licheng, 81, was arrested in March 2021. He was later sentenced to 4 or 4.5 years. He should have been released from Tailai Prison. But no update has been received regarding his current situation.
5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Wang Detained
Practitioner Wang, a teacher, was arrested at home at around 10 a.m. on July 28, 2025 by officers from the Chang’an Police Station. They ransacked Wang’s home and confiscated a computer and dozens of Falun Gong books. Wang was detained for 15 days and has been released.
Ms. Zhang Guangling and Ms. Teng Chunxiang, in their 70s, were arrested around the same time and released that evening given their advanced ages.
6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yingling Released After Serving Three Years
Ms. Zhang Yingling was arrested on November 27, 2021, and later sentenced to three years in prison. She has been released from the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wu Rui and His Wife Ms. Li Ruihua Harassed
Ms. Li Ruihua was harassed at home at around 6 p.m. on August 23, 2025 by Lu Guangtong, deputy director of the Nanmenwai Police Station, and other officers. Without providing any legal documents, they demanded to conduct a “home inspection.”
Ms. Li, who was at home by herself, talked to Lu in the hallway. Lu demanded that she provide their rental agreement and the landlord’s phone number. He also questioned why she and her husband, Mr. Wu Rui, had not filed their rental status with the community office. He insisted on checking on their home at a later time when Mr. Wu was home, threatening to break in if the couple didn’t comply.
Before Lu left around 7 p.m., he demanded that Mr. Wu bring his ID card and rental agreement and come to the Nanmenwai Police Station with their landlord.
8. [Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zeng Xiaoli Released After Serving Five Years
Ms. Zeng Xiaoli was arrested at home on July 16, 2020. She was later sentenced to five years and fined 50,000 yuan by Meixian District Court. Her appeal was rejected by the Meizhou City Intermediate Court in March 2021. She has been released in July 2025.
9. [Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Huiqin Arrested
Ms. Yu Huiqin went to Wuqionghua Residential Community to put up Falun Gong posters on the evening of August 19, 2025. She was arrested by Jiangong Police Station officers, who were staking out there to look for her. She was released that night.
10. [Guyuan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Dongfeng’s Home Ransacked
Bai Zhiwei, head of Guyuan County Domestic Security Division, led officers to knock on Mr. Wang Dongfeng’s door all night on August 21, 2025. They broke into his home the next morning and raided the place. The items confiscated from him, including a printer and a computer, filled up half a pickup truck.
Mr. Wang’s family member suffered a medical condition due to the mental pressure from the persecution and was taken to the hospital. They were taken back home in the evening. The police have been monitoring them and their cell phone usage since. Mr. Wang’s whereabouts remain unknown.
