(Minghui.org) Practitioners held a Falun Dafa Information Day in Alkmaar on Saturday, September 13, 2025. With a population of 94,000, the historic city of Alkmaar is located in the province of Noord. Its famous cheese market is one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions.
Falun Dafa practitioners set up display boards at noon at the Gewelfde Stenenburg in Alkmaar. They talked with tourists and local residents, distributed flyers, and collected signatures on a petition calling to end the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. It rained heavily around 1:00 p.m. After a brief pause, practitioners demonstrated the exercises. One person said, “Your practice is so beautiful and peaceful. The world is filled with war now. This kind of peace and quiet is exactly what the world needs!”

“If Everyone Practices Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, There Would Be No War In The World!”

Elli Mooren signed the petition calling to end the persecution. She said, “I’ve read about this [persecution] in the newspaper before. It’s horrible, and I don’t know how to stop it.” A practitioner told her that if more people knew about these crimes and spoke up, it would be difficult to sustain the persecution. She said that the US House of Representatives passed the Falun Gong Protection Act, which would hold CCP officials involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners criminally liable. Elli was interested in this legislation and said she would look into it.
She said she believes that Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are very good: “There are many wars in the world right now. I don’t know why people are like this. If everyone practices Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, there would be no war in the world!”
Killing People for Their Organs Is Horrific
Ruud, a music teacher, saw the information about the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners on a display board. He said, “This is an organized crime, organized killing. This is an extremely despicable crime, killing people for their organs. Is there anything worse than this? This is the most horrific thing I ever heard of!”
He added that people in the Netherlands and Europe should be alert to the evils of communism and should not be misled by deceptive communist ideals.

Dineka, who lives in Alkmaar, began practicing Falun Dafa three years ago. In sharing about her experience of participating in the Information Day, Dineka said she was very shy and afraid to stand on the street in front of a crowd, especially people she knew. However, she knew it was important to tell people about Falun Dafa and she wanted to share the wonderful experience of practicing Dafa with more people. She also wants to help stop the ongoing persecution.
“This morning, I pushed myself to overcome my shyness. This is the first time I’ve participated in such an event in the city where I live. I’m so glad I did it!” Dineka said.
