(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Aiqing Detained
Ms. Xu Aiqing, 75, was recorded by surveillance cameras while putting up Falun Gong posters. She was arrested by Sunshou Police Station officers on September 5, 2025. She was transferred from the police station to the Pudong Detention Center in Qingdao City on the same day and has been detained there since.
2. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Jin Litao and His Wife Ms. Han Shuangmei Detained
Mr. Jin Litao and his wife, Ms. Han Shuangmei, were arrested when talking to people about Falun Gong on the evening of September 8, 2025. The police took them from the Donggugang Police Station to the Langfang City Lockup and ransacked their home the next day. Their Falun Gong informational materials were confiscated. They were scheduled to be released on September 16, 2025.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Yaxiang Arrested
Ms. Sun Yaxiang was arrested when talking to people about Falun Gong at the Puhe Market on the morning of September 12, 2025. Her home was ransacked. The police suspected that she was involved in hanging up Falun Gong banners in the Huishan area.
4. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Xiaoxia Detained
Ms. Wu Xiaoxia was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials in Handan City on the afternoon of September 3, 2025. She was arrested and admitted to the Yongnian District Administrative Lockup.
5. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Mingzhen Tortured in Prison
Ms. Liu Mingzhen was sentenced to 4.5 years on June 9, 2023. While serving time at the Sichuan Province Women’s Prison, she developed serious health problems due to abuse and has been transferred to the prison hospital. Her family applied for medical parole for her, but were rejected.
6. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Erni Facing Indictment
Ms. Liu Erni was arrested on August 29, 2025. The police have submitted her case to the local procuratorate.
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Guiqing Develops Severe Medical Condition in Prison
Ms. Zhu Guiqing is serving an unknown term at the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. She has suffered from high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar due to the abuse. She has difficulty walking as well.
8. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Mingqun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Mingqun was arrested at home by the Yongxing Town Police Station officers on September 11, 2025. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, a media player, paper bills printed with Falun Gong facts, and Falun Gong materials. She was interrogated at the police station and released around 8 p.m.
9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Xiaoxing Harassed
Ms. Yin Xiaoxing was harassed over the phone by a Kou Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee agent on September 11, 2025. He demanded that she write statements to renounce Falun Gong. She refused to comply.
Ms. Yin was previously harassed by officers from the Huayuan Police Station and Railway Police Station. Her home was ransacked.
10. [Xiangyin County, Hunan Province] Ms. Yin Guiqiu Detained
Ms. Yin Guiqiu, 62, was arrested at home by the domestic security division officers on August 25, 2025. She was held in the Xiangyin County Lockup and has been released.
11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Niu Guifang, Ms. Ren Xiuqin, Ms. Niu Guihua, and Ms. Zhou Yanli were arrested on August 27, 2025. Ms. Niu Guifang and Ms. Zhou were released on September 1, 2025, and September 11, 2025, respectively. The other two practitioners’ situations aren’t clear.
12. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Yuzhen Released After Serving One and a Half Years
Ms. Zhang Yuzhen was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials at a shopping mall on February 28, 2024. She was later sentenced to one and a half years by the Xixia District Court. She was released on August 28, 2025, from the Ningxia Women’s Prison.
