(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an event on September 27, 2025 at Otara Market in Auckland, New Zealand. They did the Falun Dafa exercises, and gave waist drum and dragon dance performances to celebrate the more than 450 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations. Many people agreed with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and called on people to oppose the CCP’s suppression of the practice.

“We All Have a Mission”
Open every Saturday, the Otara Market is well known in Auckland for food, clothing, crafts, and cultural performances. Local resident Mania Tokotini said he was very religious. “I visited a wonderful paradise and I did not want to come back. But God asked me to come back since I have things to do here,” he said.

Tokotini was shocked to learn that countless Falun Dafa practitioners had been killed by the CCP, and he said this devastating viciousness – the persecution of Falun Dafa and forced organ harvesting – must be stopped.
“We all have a mission. That is the purpose of our life, and we need to put that into action,” Tokotini explained. He was also deeply touched by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He said he feels that many Chinese people were misled by the CCP and they do not know the reality of the persecution. That’s why he needs to step forward and support the upright.
Cherishing Lives
Richard and his wife Pika
Richard and his wife Pika are from Fiji. Richard manages a clothing company, has visited China, and said he likes the Chinese people. While he was in China he witnessed the CCP’s tight censorship. “While I was there I could not use Facebook, Google, or YouTube. People have no freedom of speech. It’s just like North Korea,” he said.
He said he feels it is inhuman for the CCP to mistreat minority groups such as Falun Dafa practitioners. “We must cherish lives, and slaughtering is wrong,” he said. He also praised those Chinese people who renounced their CCP memberships, and said, “Its important and it will benefit China.”
Pika agreed and said that one voice speaking up is weak, “But when more and more people join, the world will hear us,” she added. “You are doing the right thing.”
End the Atrocities
Mack
Mack practices Christianity and said he knows about Falun Dafa. He said there are many practitioners in China, and the CCP suppresses and kills them. “But we hardly hear about this in the news,” he said.
He said he feels that Falun Dafa is similar to Christianity because the teachings promote peace. “People have a mind and soul. But the atheistic CCP does not believe in the soul.” He feels the regime controls Western media with money to cover up the suppression. “We need to spread the facts,” he explained.
“It is vicious that the CCP kills people for their organs,” Mack added. He said that anyone who believes in the divine should unite and oppose such tragedies.
