(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners introduced the practice during an event in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, on August 30, 2025. Located in southern Holland, Dordrecht is the oldest city in the Netherlands, dates to the 12th and 13th centuries and is known for its rich history and culture.
Practitioners set up display boards in the Dordrecht shopping center, demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, distributed flyers, and collected signatures on a petition to the G7+7 countries calling to help stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. A steady stream of passersby paused to learn about the practice. When they heard that practitioners are unable to practice freely in China under the CCP rule and continue to suffer the brutal persecution, many kind-hearted Dordrecht residents signed the petition. (Note: The G7 countries are the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom; the +7 countries are Argentina, Australia, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan.)

Jamie is a mechanical engineer, and his mother is a Hong Kong Chinese who was born in the Netherlands. He knows that oppression exists in China under the CCP’s rule and supports efforts to expose it.
After talking with practitioners he said, “The principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance can help people understand and tolerate each other, leading to greater unity and harmony. This is especially true in a country as vast as China, where people need to listen to each other, understand each other, and remain open and welcoming.”
He said he was happy to be able to contribute to efforts to help end the oppression in China. He was also happy to learn more about Chinese culture and to pay attention to what is happening there.
A. Jonkess and Omgela Hoddu spoke with practitioners and were shocked to learn about the persecution in China.
They immediately signed the petition, and one said, “People have the right to freedom of belief and this should not be suppressed!”
