(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held truth-clarification events in front of the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, Sweden, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon in August 2025, to seek signatures for a petition calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
The beautiful Falun Dafa exercise music, peaceful and tranquil exercises, and the truth-clarification exhibition boards and banners attracted the attention of many passersby. Every day, tourists crowded around the practitioners’ booth to find out more about Falun Dafa.
People accepted informational materials, looked at the information boards, and chatted with practitioners. Many tourists showed interest in the exercises and started imitating the exercise movements along with the practitioners’ demonstrations.
Falun Dafa practitioners held events in front of the Nobel Prize Museum in August 2025 to introduce the practice and collect signatures for a petition calling for an end to the persecution in China.
Tourists from around the world commended practitioners for adding a unique ambiance to the area, allowing visitors to experience peace, tranquility, and hope amid the hustle and bustle of a busy city. Many people were moved by the practitioners’ compassion.
Tourists read materials, and after understanding the situation, signed a petition to show their support to end the persecution.
August is the peak of the summer tourist season in Sweden, and tour groups often visit the museum. Many tour guides expressed their deep respect for practitioners for cultivating Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and for persisting in resisting the persecution by raising awareness at Sweden’s tourist attractions.
Each time guides brought tour groups to the area, they greeted the practitioners in a friendly manner and explained to their group why the practitioners were demonstrating the exercises and distributing materials there. Many tourists then approached the booth to take photos or get materials. Materials were available in the tourists’ preferred languages, and they started reading them on the spot. After understanding what has been happening in China, people signed the petition and expressed their admiration and support for Falun Dafa practitioners’ peaceful efforts to end the persecution.
Tour Guide Helps Spread the Truth and Condemns the CCP’s Persecution
One Saturday afternoon, a middle-aged tour guide from Italy was waiting for her group when a display board attracted her attention. After reading all the information, she found a practitioner and asked to sign the petition. She then said that she wanted to take extra copies of the informational materials.
She wanted to bring the information about Falun Dafa to more people’s attention. “I often bring tourists from different countries to places around the world and will recommend that they scan the QR code on this flyer to find out more,” she explained.
During a conversation with a practitioner, a senior tour guide from Sweden said that he would like to take more truth-clarification materials to help spread the message. “What you are doing is very important. I know that and I support you. I will forever stand on your side,” he affirmed.
The guide condemned the CCP’s human rights atrocities. “I am actually very clear that the Chinese Communist regime is extremely bad; they keep doing illegal things,” he said. “It is afraid that the Chinese tourists will learn the truth overseas, so it does not allow foreign tour guides to talk about the things that the CCP does not want the Chinese tourists to see or hear.”
One local Chinese tour guide often led her tourists over to the booth to learn about Falun Dafa and encouraged them to accept materials. She told them, “Never listen to the things that they promote in China. These people [Falun Dafa practitioners] are all very kind and many of them are my friends of many years.”
She was angered by the CCP’s transnational repression, especially after she learned that former Hong Kong chief executive and current Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Leung Chun-ying, had threatened and intimidated Falun Dafa practitioners in Finland. She told the tourists around her, “People who live here have the right to express their wishes and have their beliefs. There should not be any restrictions. This is not China! He [Leung Chun-ying] dared to act wildly in a democratic country? That is too much!”
Argentine Youth Establishes an Affinity with Falun Dafa
An Argentine youth learned about Falun Dafa at the booth and walked right over to sign the petition. He chatted with a practitioner for a long time. During the conversation, he said that he really wanted to learn Falun Dafa, and wanted to know more about the practice.
He asked for the time and address of local practice sites, saying, “In the past, I knew nothing about this. But when I stand here, I can feel inner peace and harmony. At the same time, I also hear that Falun Dafa has a unique ability to help people regain their health and improve their morals. This is what I have been looking for and have been wanting to learn.”
The practitioner answered his questions in depth and gave him the local group practice site information. The practitioner also showed him the Falun Dafa website so that he could download all the books and read them for free.
“This is great! I currently have the chance to work in Sweden for half a year. After that, no matter if I can stay here, I will catch hold of my available time to learn and practice Falun Dafa,” he said.
He raised up a Spanish-language flyer and seemed very excited. He thanked practitioners for setting up a truth-clarification booth in this location to try to end the persecution in a peaceful manner, giving him this chance to establish an affinity with Dafa and leaving him full of confidence and hope for the future.
Tourists Sign the Petition to Help Stop the Persecution
An older couple from the United Kingdom showed appreciation for Falun Dafa practitioners’ peaceful efforts to stop the persecution. When they learned about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and its harvesting of their organs while they are still alive, they were appalled. “This is too cruel,” the man said. He had been to China, and said he has always worried about human rights under CCP rule.
The man shared that he did have some understanding of the CCP’s brutality, but he did not expect that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners would be so brutal. He did not know the full extent of its crimes. The couple said they admired practitioners for daring to expose the CCP’s crimes to the world. They hoped that they could help stop the persecution by signing the petition. They took many photos at the venue, hoping to share what they had learned on their social media platforms so that more people could show concern for the persecution.
A middle-aged couple from Pakistan signed the petition and told a practitioner that they believe very much that what the practitioner told them is true. The man said, “I pay a lot of attention to news from all over the world and have seen many video materials and books. If I did not know about all that, it would be hard to imagine that such a thing [live organ harvesting] is currently happening in China.
“I am very clear that the first thing that the CCP considers is the relationships that are of economic interest. It has always been controlling the corrupt officials from different countries, bribing politicians to reap greater economic benefits. It can resort to anything. Live organ harvesting is horrible and it must be stopped,” he said.
The couple said that what practitioners were doing was really admirable.
American Couple Wishes to Know About Falun Dafa
On one occasion, when the event had ended for the day, a middle-aged couple rushed over to the booth and said to the practitioner who was packing up the materials, “We came from South Carolina in the United States and really want to get information about the event that you were all holding earlier. Please tell us about it.”
The practitioner explained everything to them and they learned about Falun Dafa and the persecution and were very pleased to learn that the U.S. House of Representatives had passed the Falun Gong Protection Act. They said, “It seems that we specifically came to support you all today. What you are doing is very good. We will pray for you all. Please continue to persist!”
