(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the 208th Three County Fair in Northampton from August 29 to September 1, 2025. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) to the public and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
Held annually over the Labor Day weekend, the four-day festival features animal exhibits and agricultural competitions, live music, a farm museum, food vendors, bumper car races, rides, and games for all ages. Widely praised for its diverse offerings and community focus, the event attracts thousands of residents and visitors each year.

This was the first time practitioners participated in the fair. They demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and told people about the CCP’s persecution and transnational repression. Local people and visitors commended the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and encouraged practitioners to continue their efforts to expose the persecution and transnational repression.
People Express Support for Falun Dafa
Jennifer, who lives in Amherst, went directly to the Falun Dafa booth and asked a practitioner what support she could provide and what she could do. The practitioners told her they were collecting signatures calling on the US Senate to pass the Falun Gong Protection Act. Jennifer signed the petition. As she put down her pen, she said with emotion that she was truly saddened about the persecution. She said she learned online about the CCP’s attacks and persecution of Shen Yun in the United States, and she wanted to help Falun Dafa. Tears welling in her eyes, she reiterated her deep sadness at what she saw happening to Shen Yun. As she left, the practitioner thanked her for her understanding and support.
Makayla, who lives in the area, said that when she passed by the booth she was drawn by the practitioners’ exercise demonstration. She learned the first exercise on the spot and said she felt comfortable and energized afterward. She left her contact information and said she was interested in learning how to practice Falun Dafa.
Cheryl
When Cheryl stopped by the Falun Dafa booth, a practitioner explained the characteristics of Falun Dafa and pointed to the words “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance” on a lotus flower bookmark. She told her that these three words are the characteristics of the universe, and that many people have benefited physically and mentally after they sincerely said, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The practitioner said this is especially true when one encounters difficulties or feels stressed: sincerely reciting the two phrases can calm one’s mind and help one overcome difficulties. Cheryl explained that her father had passed away. She missed him and sometimes felt sad. She said she would carry the lotus bookmark with her. As she spoke, she put it on her blouse and said she wanted to wear it forever.
A family of four came over to the Falun Dafa booth. A practitioner taught the two children to read the words “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.” The children read the words carefully in their clear and tender voices, and their mother praised them. The practitioner told the children to remember these three words. The children nodded in agreement, and their mother sincerely thanked the practitioner for giving them such a wonderful gift.
People Sign the Petition to End the Persecution
A young girl passed by the Falun Dafa booth but suddenly stopped, and read the information about the petition. Pointing to the words “The CCP Harvests Organs from Living Falun Gong Practitioners,” she exclaimed in shock, “How could this happen? I must sign the petition to stop the CCP’s forced organ harvesting! This is unacceptable!”
Mr. Guan, a Vietnamese of Chinese descent, said he understood how evil the communist party is. He was persecuted by the communist party and fled to the US. He expressed his support for Falun Gong practitioners’ protesting and exposing the persecution..
