(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 56 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

13. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Cuiqin Released After Serving a One-Year Term
1. [Xingyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaorong Detained
Ms. Zhang Xiaorong was arrested at home by the Gaocun Township Police Station officers on the evening of December 29, 2025. It is unknown where she is detained. Her arrest came only one year after she finished serving a three-year term for practicing Falun Gong.
2. [Yilong County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen, in her 50s, was arrested around December 28, 2025.
3. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Deyu Taken to Psychiatric Hospital
Ms. Xu Deyu was taken to the Jiangyou Third People’s Hospital, a psychiatric hospital, by her son, Gao Jian, and her daughter, Gao Huiping. She is now held in isolation.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wei Chunhong Detained
Ms. Wei Chunhong was arrested at home by Tenglong Police Station officers on the evening of December 24, 2025, after being reported for distributing calendars bearing information about Falun Gong. She has been detained since.
5. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Diao Chunfeng Harassed
Ms. Diao Chunfeng was arrested during a police sweep on July 17, 2025, and was later released on bail after she was denied admission by the Yantai City Detention Center due to her health condition. The police have been harassing her since then. The most recent harassment episode occurred on December 29, 2025. Two officers from the Shiliang Police Station went to her home. She wasn’t home, and the police ordered her husband to call her and ask her to return.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunyan Arrested
Ms. Wang Chunyan was arrested around December 24, 2025.
7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Harassed
Li Hui, Chen Jing, Jiao Meishan, Zhao Fengxin, Wang Jiafang, and Li Shulin, were harassed by Jianshe North Street Police Station officers in November 2025. The police questioned them about whether they still practice Falun Gong. Some practitioners were photographed against their will. Some of the practitioners’ adult children were also harassed.
8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yin’s Bail Condition Lifted
Ms. Wang Yin was arrested on June 4, 2023, and her home was ransacked. She was released the next day on a one-year bail. When her bail condition expired in June 2024, the police put her under residential surveillance. She filed a complaint against the police in August 2025. When she called the police in December 2025, she was told that both of her bail condition and residential surveillance had been lifted. The police also returned the 5,000 yuan bond she had paid.
9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Haiying Harassed
Ms. Zhang Haiying was harassed at home by an officer from the Shuangqiao Police Station on December 22, 2025. The officer tried to take a photo of her, but failed because she wore a facial mask. They then ordered her son to submit a photo of her.
10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhen Yuxia Harassed
Ms. Zhen Yuxia was harassed at home by three local community staff members on December 22, 2025. They took a photo of her without her permission. Officers of the Bairin Left Banner Police Department called Ms. Zhen on December 26, 2025, questioning her whether she was still practicing Falun Gong and whether she had gone out recently.
11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] 37 Practitioners Harassed in One Night
At least 37 practitioners were harassed on the evening of December 27, 2025. Over 200 police officers were dispatched for the operation.
The harassed practitioners include Fang Shuilian, Guo Wenqin, Niu Chunqi, Liu Cunling, Sun Aiqin, Wang Fengzhi, Zhang Dianjun, Yan Zongqin, Yan Jun, Yan Yong, Yan Hequan, Cheng Guiquan, Yang Xifang, Zhang Shuqin, Liang Jianzhong, Tang Fenghua, Gu Haoqin, Zhang Yingxia, Zhang Fengzhi, Zhang Fengxia, Zhang Shuqin, Zhao Fengying, Gu Zhongyuan, Li Zhenxian, Yang Jianlong, Yang Jingru, Liu Hetian, Zhu Changqi, Bao Zhenjiang, Li Jinshu, Li Xuecheng, Wang Xiufen, Guo Fengling, Ji Xiuzhi, Gao Binglan, Zhang Fengge, and Shi Shuqin.
12. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Qing’an and Mr. Tang Baoquan Detained
Mr. Wang Qing’an and Mr. Tang Baoquan were arrested in December 2025. They were each given ten days at the Laixi City Lockup.
13. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Cuiqin Released After Serving a One-Year Term
Ms. Zhang Cuiqin was sentenced to one year by the Kuancheng District Court on November 27, 2025. She was released on December 26, 2025, after having served the term.
