(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1993, and I’m now 71 years old. I had the honor of attending Master Li’s lectures in person and it was an experience I’ll never forget.
Master guides us to improve ourselves and be kind. Dafa teaches people to value virtue and do good deeds, and the practice can resolve illnesses.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) initiated the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, and I’ve been clarifying the truth to people since then. I’d like to share some of my experiences talking to people about Dafa.
Story 1
I rode a taxi in 2023 when the COVID-19 pandemic was gradually subsiding. I told the driver, “Many people died during the pandemic. Although the situation has improved somewhat, it’s not over yet. Please take good care of yourself.”
She said, “I believe you. I truly do. I’ve seen so many people die. At the height of the pandemic, I couldn’t just sit at home so I walked around the neighborhood. I saw memorial wreaths in many residential complexes, and they were everywhere. My heart ached so I volunteered to join the relief efforts. I went to a hospital to check out the wards. I walked into one of them and was stunned by what I saw. There were eight beds in the room, but only one person was alive and the other seven were dead. I walked into another room, and it was similar—only one out of seven patients were alive. I couldn’t help but cry.”
I asked the woman, who appeared to be in her 30s, if she was afraid. She replied, “I wasn’t afraid. I didn’t even know what fear was at the time.”
I said, “They reported on the television that only a few or a dozen people died nationwide each day. So they were lying.”
She replied, “How could their numbers be correct? The cell phones were piled up like a small mountain next to the crematorium. I saw it with my own eyes. So many people died. It was so tragic!”
I continued, “The CCP hasn’t done anything good for the people. You were so kind and volunteered to help the community. I think you’ll be blessed in the future. This disaster is brought by the Communist Party, and everyone is suffering as a result.
“If people don’t take matters into their hands, then Heaven will. The CCP is corrupt, greedy, and has committed unpardonable crimes. Please follow Heaven’s will and withdraw from the Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers, and you’ll have a bright future. People who don’t severe their ties to the CCP will perish when Heaven eliminates it.”
She said, “I joined the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. I’ll withdraw.”
I told her we were predestined to meet, and gave her some Dafa informational materials and an amulet which had information about Dafa. I told her, “Please remember ‘Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Make sure you read the pamphlets and I wish you a bright future.”
Story 2
I took a taxi cab one day and asked the driver, a man in his 40s, if his business was good. He replied, “There’s no easy business these days. It’s not good to work non-stop, but worse if one doesn’t work. I’m paying a monthly lease for this vehicle whether I make money or not.”
I said, “The CCP brought us the pandemic. I know an elderly man who caught COVID-19 and had a fever of 39°C (about 102°F). His son called him from the United States and told him to say ‘Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ to ward off the illness. His father didn’t believe him and continued to suffer. The elderly man couldn’t bear the pain and thought he was going to die, so he decided to say the auspicious phrases.
“He was in and out of consciousness for four days, and repeated the phrases when he was awake. His fever went down by day four and he recovered a few days later. The doctors were puzzled and asked how he got well. He told them about the auspicious phrases and the doctors believed him.”
After I finished telling the story, I helped the taxi driver quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I gave him an amulet which had “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” written on it.
The man accepted it and exclaimed with joy, “My wife will receive blessings too!”
Story 3
I was talking to an 80-year-old woman about Dafa one day, while another elderly woman who was standing nearby listened. After the old woman left, she asked, “Why are you still talking about Falun Dafa? The government doesn’t mention it anymore.”
I said, “The CCP persecuted Dafa openly in the past, now they do it covertly. Do you know that the CCP has been harvesting organs from practitioners for profit?”
“If you think it exists, then it does. If you don’t think it exists, then it doesn’t,” she retorted.
I then told her this story, “In 2004, 300,000 people were in northern Sumatra, Indonesia, when the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami happened. A local man knew the tsunami was coming and told people to leave. They were having a good time and didn’t believe him. The tsunami soon struck.”
She understood and I helped her quit the CCP.
Story 4
I went grocery shopping one morning and saw many people buying hot shredded tofu. I walked over to see how it was made, but I was really hoping to tell people about Falun Dafa. I asked a man if the shredded tofu was good, and he said, “I’ve never had it before, so I’m going to buy some and give it a try.”
“You don’t look like someone who often does grocery shopping,” I commented.
He said, “I just retired. I’m picking up some food on my way home after my morning workout.”
I asked him, “So you’re in your 60s. What did you do for a living?” He said he was a police officer.
I said, “That’s a tough job. Which department did you work for? You weren’t involved in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners, were you?” He said he worked in the accounting and auditing department, and was not involved in the persecution.
I continued, “There are many good police officers. The pandemic has calmed down for now, but there will be more disasters in the future. I suggest you withdraw from the Party, Youth League, and Young Pioneers to ensure your safety.”
He asked, “How do I do that?” I suggested a pseudonym and he agreed to quit.
I offered him informational materials, but he was afraid to take them, so we went our separate ways. I walked around for a while and ran into him again. I said, “Please give me one of your grocery bags.”
He gave me a bag, and I slipped the materials and an amulet into the bag as we walked and talked. I gave him the bag and said, “You can read them when you get home. It contains Master Li’s words which could be life-saving.” He thanked me.
I ran into him two months later. He said, “Do you recognize me? I read everything you gave me, and I understand now. Thank you!” He took out the amulet and said, “I carry this amulet with me every day. Thank you so much!”
