(Minghui.org) A 67-year-old Manchu man in Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province, was sentenced to four years and two months in late December 2025 for his faith in Falun Gong.
Mr. Na Zibo was arrested on the morning of February 27, 2025, after being reported for distributing Falun Gong materials. The Anjia Town Police Station officers raided his home and held him in the Wuchang City Detention Center.
The case was then submitted to the Acheng District Procuratorate in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province, that also oversees Wuchang City.
The Acheng City Court sentenced Mr. Na to four years and two months in late December 2025. He has been admitted to the Tailai Prison in Qiqihar City of the same province.
This is not the first time that Mr. Na has been jailed for his faith. He previously served an eight-year prison term between 2007 and 2015.
Falun Gong Made Him a Better Person
Mr. Na, born in August 1958, once worked at the Wuchang City Food Company, and later became a taxi driver. Before he took up Falun Gong in October 1997, he suffered from heart disease and migraines. His symptoms all disappeared after he began practicing Falun Gong.
He also became a better person, with integrity. He returned whatever items were left in his taxi to their owners, or submitted them to his company’s lost and found if he couldn’t locate the owners. An insurance adjuster once gave him 1,000 yuan extra in claims payment. He found out about it and returned the money the next day.
Jailed for Eight Years
Mr. Na was arrested on October 29, 2007, while distributing Falun Gong informational materials in nearby Shanhe Town. The Shanhe Town Police Department officers handed him over to the Wuchang City Police Department, which impounded his taxi and raided his home.
Deputy chief Feng Zhimin of the Wuchang City Police Department slapped Mr. Na in the face a few times and took his photos. He was then taken to the Wuchang City First Detention Center. He refused to wear inmates’ vest, and the guards there shackled him as punishment.
Around March 2008, Mr. Na was sentenced to eight years and admitted to the Hulan Prison. Not long after, he was moved to the Daqing Prison, where he was subjected to brutal torture.
One day in 2009, a deputy warden surnamed Li Weilong spotted Mr. Na wearing street clothes instead of the inmates’ uniform. He ripped off Mr. Na’s clothes and whipped him with a club five times. He also verbally abused Mr. Na and instructed the guards to not allow him to eat in the cafeteria.
Mr. Na still refused to wear the inmates’ uniform. Section chief Li Weinan blocked him from entering the cafeteria one day, all the while beating and verbally abusing him.
Mr. Na was spotted another time accepting some napa cabbage from an inmate. He ended up being held in solitary confinement for ten days.
Secretary Zhang Wencai inspected the third division one day and spotted Mr. Na wearing street clothes again. He instructed vice captain Zhang Chunsheng to beat Mr. Na, and team lead Jin Lijun to tear his short-sleeved shirt.
After eight years of abuse, Mr. Na lost almost all of his teeth. He was released in October 2015.
