(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Thailand gathered at Lumphini Park in Bangkok on May 3, 2026, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day through group exercises and introducing the practice to the public.

Master Li Hongzhi held the first Falun Dafa lecture in Changchun City, China, on May 13, 1992. Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) has since brought health and hope to people in more than 100 countries across the world, including Thailand.
During the celebrations, two practitioners shared their cultivation experiences and how they benefited physically and mentally after learning the practice.
Choosing Falun Dafa After Rational Consideration
Lisa, who has an academic demeanor and is a former university professor, reflected on her cultivation journey. She said, “I began practicing Falun Gong in January 1999, just a few months before the Chinese government began persecuting Falun Gong.”
“At that time, I was nearly 40 years old,” she said. “Due to my age, I felt my body was no longer as strong as before. I felt I was beginning to decline physically, so I wanted to improve my fitness.
“There was no Thai translation of Zhuan Falun yet, so I read the English version,” she said. “After reading several lectures, I realized that Falun Gong was a cultivation practice, not merely physical exercise.
“At the time, I had also just begun studying Buddhism, so I had to make a choice.”
She continued, “Buddhism has existed for a very long time, and I had doubts about some of its scriptures. Falun Dafa, on the other hand, had only recently been introduced to the public, so I decided to give Falun Dafa a try and stopped studying Buddhism.
“Soon afterward, I faced many tests, especially in July 1999 when the Chinese government began suppressing Falun Gong.
“I carefully considered the contents of Zhuan Falun. There was not a single bad thing in it. Moreover, after I did the Dafa exercises, only good things happened to me.
“So I began to learn about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and why it was spreading such propaganda about Falun Gong. Then I realized that the CCP must be lying, so I continued practicing Falun Gong.
“I went to Pattaya several times to hand out flyers to Chinese tourists and raise awareness about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong,” she said. “The CCP is very brutal, especially the forced organ harvesting—it is inhumane.”
Lisa said, “I have practiced Falun Dafa for nearly 27 years. In all this time, I only caught a few minor colds, and that was during the first two years after I started practicing.”
Now in her 60s, Lisa looks as though she is still in her 40s. Her complexion is fair, without blemishes or wrinkles. Speaking of this, she said, “That is what other people can see on the outside. Besides that, I feel physically strong. I’m now in my 60s, and other people say I look healthy and energetic. I still walk fast.”
“In the past, I often argued with people because of my own opinions,” she said. “After practicing Dafa, I realized that people are different from one another, and others may find it difficult to understand my way of thinking. Arguing is useless, so I gradually let it go and endured it.”
She continued, “Master Li talked about how a cultivator’s forbearance is different from that of ordinary people. In the beginning, it felt painful to endure and I had anxiety and sadness. Gradually, I achieved the forbearance of a cultivator, let go of my ego, and felt very relaxed inside.
“Sometimes I encountered difficult tests and wavered inside,” Lisa said. “So I asked myself: Could I stop practicing Falun Gong? Could I live like other people? The answer was that I could no longer do that, so I persisted.”
Woman in Her Seventies: The Longer I Cultivate, the Younger I Feel
Bangor, now in her 70s, has practiced Falun Gong for eight years. She began learning Falun Gong because she wanted to attain inner peace. She appears to be only in her 40s, and her complexion is fair.
“The longer I cultivate, the younger I feel,” she said. “When I first began doing the Falun Gong exercises, I felt a very strong energy and warmth throughout my body. Afterward, I felt relaxed and light.”
Bangor said, “I do the exercises every morning.” “Every day I read Zhuan Falun.”
Speaking about the changes cultivation brought her, Bangor said, “In the past, even small matters would stay on my mind, and I couldn’t let them go. Now I don’t take things to heart. My inner world is peaceful, and I feel relaxed.”
“Before cultivating, I would never yield to others. Now I do, and I treat people with kindness. When conflicts arise, I no longer argue with others. Instead, I try to calm down,” she said.
Having benefited both physically and mentally through cultivation, Bangor hopes to share her personal experiences with more people. She said, “I clarify the truth to Thai people and to police officers. I tell people about the CCP’s fabrications and slander against Falun Gong, so they can recognize those lies and know that Falun Gong is good and teaches people to be good.
“I deeply respect Master Li and am very moved by his teachings. I feel that I have a predestined relationship with Dafa.
“I have fallen several times, and some of the situations were critical—life-threatening tribulations. But I made it through. At those moments, I felt that Master was right beside me.”
Bangor concluded by saying, “I feel that I have chosen the right path in life.”
