(Minghui.org) In 1998, I was critically ill at a time when my child was still very young. However, after practicing Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong), I recovered in just a few days. For me, this miraculous recovery was like withered trees coming back to life, a refreshing rain finally arriving after a long drought. Since then, I have studied the Fa eagerly, which laid a very good foundation for my future cultivation as I assisted with Master’s Fa-rectification and saving of sentient beings.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, I was put under house arrest. One day, the director of the local police station came to my home, asking me with an oppressive tone, “Why do you practice Falun Dafa?”
I replied, “To cure my illness.” He asked whether I knew other Falun Dafa practitioners. I responded, “I don’t know anyone else. I only know my Master. Others can not help me, only my Master can solve my problem.” He told me I should only practice at home and not talk about Falun Dafa to others. Then he left.
Over the past 20 years, I have been arrested nine times and illegally detained multiple times because of my faith. Today, I have finally matured in cultivation. I am aware that Master Li Hongzhi has been with me every day, teaching me how to cultivate and guiding me on my path.
When I first started assisting people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, I had no experience, but I was fearless as I spoke to people about it. Subsequently, I was reported to the police and arrested multiple times. As a result, my family members were really scared. Under those circumstances, I developed an attachment of fear. I studied the Fa diligently and made a continuous effort to overcome the fear. During the process of telling people about Falun Dafa, Master has been helping me strengthen my righteous thoughts. For example, one night, a fierce and windy snowstorm raged outside all night. By the time I woke up the next morning, it still hadn’t stopped. I was not sure whether I would be able to go out, so in my heart I asked Master, “Is public transportation still running today?” Master hinted that I could go out. So I struggled to catch a bus in the bad weather to get to a big rural market fair. When I got there, I noticed only a light layer of snow covered the road. I was so touched by Master’s guidance that tears welled up in my eyes. Looking at the crowd at the market, I started to speak with people about Falun Dafa with an open heart and helped them to quit the CCP to have a better future.
On another occasion, I took a bus to a rural market. Since it was raining hard, only a few people were in the marketplace. I helped five people learn the truth about Dafa and quit the CCP. I felt anxious, and with tears in my eyes, in my heart I inquired of my teacher, “Master, this will not work. The rain prevents people from coming out. How can I help them be saved?” With this thought, the rain stopped. I was so grateful for Master’s help that I cried. In a short while, I helped 19 people understand the facts about Dafa and quit the CCP.
One day, I was arrested for telling people about Falun Dafa. After I was released, a fellow practitioner posted my arrest on the Minghui website. I was contacted by police from the domestic security division, who sought to harass me. I wanted to help the police, so I requested to clarify the truth to their director over the phone. The director then called me on speakerphone while a roomful of police listened in.
I said, “Sir, as Falun Dafa practitioners, we are all selfless. Since we are predestined to meet each other, I will treat you kindly, and let’s talk heart-to-heart. I do not have any resentment toward you. As Falun Dafa practitioners, we do not have enemies. All we want to do is provide an opportunity for people to learn the truth and understand the principles of Dafa. Master Li teaches us to share what we know with others so they may avoid upcoming catastrophes and return to their heavenly home. If you acknowledge ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ you will have a blessed future. Otherwise, your soul will die away forever, without any further chance of reincarnation.”
I noticed that those listening were very quiet. I knew they were hearing me, so I continued, “We came down from a heavenly home to this human world, and have been through many, many lifetimes, suffering through numerous hardships, and finally making it to today. All past suffering has been just for today. We cannot afford not to do well! I hope you do not persecute Falun Dafa or harm practitioners, so that you can choose a good future for you and your family. I have sent out righteous thoughts every day for a long time, just to let people like you learn ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Don’t let your work bring harm to you and your family, and don’t become the CCP’s scapegoat. Otherwise, it will be too massive a loss. We can’t afford that! I do not hate you at all. Dafa practitioners do not have enemies. We fulfill our mission with compassionate hearts. If any practitioner has hatred in his or her heart, they will not be able to return to their heavenly home. Master Li came to this world to save people. That is his only intention. Falun Dafa practitioners have done nothing wrong. I will not say much more right now, I hope you can understand.”
The director wanted to find out who exposed him on the Minghui website, so he spoke again. He said, “Ma’am, you can tell people about Falun Dafa, but you’ve got to be aware and not let people report you.”
The officer who had driven the police vehicle praised me and said, “Ma’am, you have spoken really well. You certainly have a gift for words!”
Throughout my more than 20 years of cultivation, I have come to realize that Master arranges everything, while I am just a messenger. It is Master who is saving people. For example, while I talk to people about Falun Dafa and encourage them to quit the CCP, some specific words that need to be spoken suddenly enter my mind, but those words do not originate from me.
Of course, cultivation is not always smooth sailing. Although I became more mature in cultivation, I could still get stuck at times due to my limited enlightenment. In such a case, I would kneel in front of Master’s portrait, questioning myself as to whether I am wholeheartedly committed to saving others, whether I do this to fulfill my vow, and whether I am righteous on my cultivation path. At the same time, I intensified my Fa study with a calm heart. I go out every day to tell anyone I meet about Dafa, regardless of the weather.
Compared to the life and death of countless sentient beings in the universe, the safety and well-being of an insignificant individual like myself count for nothing. I understand why Master Li’s requirements for practitioners are demanding and strict. I must try my best to walk well on the cultivation path arranged by Master, and never forget my mission as a Falun Dafa practitioner.
