Artistic Beauty That Focuses on Traditional Virtues

The artworks in the exhibition uniquely showcase an artistic style and aesthetic standard inspired by a return to traditional virtues. Having been shown in 50 countries and more than 900 cities worldwide, this exhibition offers the public an opportunity to immerse themselves in hope and positive energy.

The artworks present stories of courage and profound inner beauty. They mainly focus on the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) but also portray how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted those who follow this practice in China for the past 27 years.

The Mayor of Bucine and the Commissioner of Cultural Affairs came to the exhibition on several occasions to ask about the turnout.

Mayor of Town Known for Ceramics Makes Special Trip to Visit Exhibition

Among the visitors to the exhibition were members of regional delegations that were participating in the local festivities, including the mayor of Deruta, a small Umbrian town renowned for its traditional ceramics.

Deruta is one of the most important ceramic art centers in Italy. Its ceramics tradition is deeply rooted, and, to this day, numerous workshops and studios still continue to produce works in both traditional and contemporary styles.

Visitors Moved to Tears, One Returns Three Times

Among the most moving works portrays a young girl who was orphaned and persecuted because her parents practiced Falun Gong. Many people were deeply touched by this piece.

Visitors at The Art of Zhen-Shan-Ren Exhibition

Many visitors to the exhibition were unaware of what Falun Gong practitioners are suffering at the hands of the CCP. A woman said she was shocked when she learned that such peaceful and kind people are being so terribly tortured. Many visitors said that Falun Dafa’s teachings resonated with them, and they were deeply impressed by the beauty and profound significance of the paintings.

After seeing a few of the works, a young woman looked at the practitioner explaining the pieces to her, sighed, and said, “This exhibition is so beautiful.” Tears ran down her cheeks, and she embraced the practitioner.

The third time a 16-year-old girl came to see the exhibition, she brought her father.

A 12-year-old girl from India came to the exhibition twice. Both times, she stood in front of a painting for a long time and said that she hoped she could learn how to paint that well and learn more about Falun Dafa.

One visitor commented that art is a “peaceful but powerful way to touch people’s souls.”

One man said he had made a special trip to Bucine to view the exhibition after seeing a poster about it on social media. He said he was glad he did.

The Exhibition Resonates in the Local Community

A local practitioner said that, even two days after the exhibition had closed, people were still discussing it. She personally experienced the positive impact the exhibition had on the local community, awakening people’s consciences and sparking widespread interest in human rights issues and the current situation in China. Some people even encouraged her to show the exhibition in nearby cities and invite schools to host it, too.
