(Minghui.org) Rong is a Falun Dafa practitioner. Her mother-in-law, Ying, is 102 years old, and had overcome several illnesses in recent years, which she attributes to the blessings of Falun Dafa. Ying often shares with others, “I am truly blessed by Dafa. Because Master Li is looking after me, I am able to live to this day. I am sincerely grateful to Master!”
Rong is Ying’s youngest daughter-in-law, and has been practicing Falun Dafa for over twenty years. She frequently told Ying to sincerely recite Falun Dafa’s auspicious phrases, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” especially when Ying wasn’t well.
At the age of 95, Ying slipped one day and fell, fracturing the head of the femur bone in her thigh. Because of her advanced age, the hospital refused to perform surgery and advised her to rest at home. As a result, she lost her mobility and became wheelchair-bound. Rong’s husband brought Ying into their home to care of her, while Rong stayed with one of their children to care for the grandchildren.
However, both Ying and Rong’s husband caught COVID during the pandemic. Other family members feared catching the virus, so none of them came to visit or offer assistance. When Rong returned home to care for them, she found that Ying was too weak to even lift her head, nor could she eat or drink. Rong’s husband, in his 70’s, was also on the verge of collapse. Rong played the audio programs produced by practitioners on a small speaker for them and told them to sincerely recite the Dafa auspicious phrases.
When her husband’s situation became very serious, she urged him to call out to Master for help. As soon as he did, he immediately saw a vision of Master sitting atop a large lotus flower floating in the air, with one hand held erect, nodding at him with a gentle smile. Instantly he felt his body become lighter, and the COVID symptoms vanished. This extraordinary experience reinforced his faith in Dafa. When he expressed his gratitude to Rong for saving him and his mother, Rong reminded him that it was Master who saved them, and that their sincere faith in Dafa brought them blessings.
Everyone in Rong’s family had received the COVID vaccine, except Rong, yet nearly all of them contracted the virus. Despite not receiving a single vaccine dose or avoiding contact with infected people, she remained in excellent health. Her entire family witnessed the miraculous nature of Dafa, and all marveled at its power.
In the fall of 2025, Ying’s second daughter brought her home to live with the family. However, her health deteriorated rapidly two weeks after moving in, and she fell into a coma. Unable to eat or drink anything for three days, her children feared she was approaching the end of her life and transferred her to a nursing home, where they hired a caregiver to look after her. Her family began mentally preparing for her funeral.
When Rong heard the news, she hurried to visit Ying. Sitting by her bedside, she gently told her to keep reciting Dafa’s auspicious phrases. After a while, Ying, who had been in a coma, seemed to have heard her and woke up. The first words she spoke upon opening her eyes were to Rong: “You brought me luck again.” Rong reminded her to attribute her recovery to Dafa and Master. Ying repeatedly told her children that she was blessed by Master and Dafa.
About a month after regaining consciousness, Ying fell out of bed one night. Fortunately, only her forehead was lightly scratched and bleeding. The caregiver was relieved, and informed her family the next morning. Rong reminded other family members not to blame the caregiver. Ying’s forehead healed in three days. Seeing Ying’s Dafa amulet beside her all the time and witnessing her recovery, the caregiver developed a strong faith in Dafa and asked Rong for an amulet of her own.
Now, at 102, Ying lives life to the fullest, playing cards for two hours daily. Sometimes, even her caregiver finds it hard to keep up with her. She truly feels she has benefited from repeating Dafa’s auspicious phrases.
