(Minghui.org) May 13, 2026, was the 27th World Falun Dafa Day and the 34th anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa. The entire month of May, practitioners and people around the world celebrated the occasion in all kinds of ways. Their celebrations transcended borders, cultures, and ethnic groups. Many people say Falun Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are even more meaningful in today’s chaotic world.

Practitioners Around the World Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

Around May 13 in China every year, Falun Dafa practitioners as well as people who support Dafa send thousands of greeting and messages to Minghui.org despite the internet censorship in their country.

In May 34 years ago, Master Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Dafa and guided thousands on the path to become good people. Falun Dafa, which is now practiced by people around the world, brought people goodness and hope and the blessings of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

This year, from May 10 to 15 alone, Minghui.org published 22,393 greeting cards and messages from all parts of China and around the world. In China, the well wishes came from over 70 organizations and occupations, including government entities, foreign affairs, public security, the legal profession, the military, government officials, the medical field, the postal system, taxing entities, broadcasting, education, gold trade, foreign trade, food supply, railroads, scientific research, aviation, transport, music and the arts, banking and insurance regulatory commission, market supervision, health and medicine, electricity supply, communications, forestry, oilfields, petroleum refining, the petrochemical industry, gas, amusement, advertising, an economist, libraries, auction houses, light textile industry, maintenance, finance, accounting, statistics, the travel industry, construction, monetary institutions, mining, water conservation, property management, industrial enterprises, farming, heavy machinery manufacturing, supply and market cooperatives, food, service industries, e-commerce, real estate valuation, shipbuilding, bridges, business and commerce, automation instrumentation, investment, car manufacturing, machinery factories, steel, publishing, law, human resources, and so on.

Practitioners in China’s public security, judiciary, legal system, government departments and offices, the military, the armed forces, the armed police system, military academies, military hospitals, aerospace departments, and the national defense system who realize Falun Dafa is good celebrate the 34th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction as well!

Greeting cards and messages received by Minghui were sent by practitioners of many different ethnic groups in China as well as people in all regions and from children to the elderly. Practitioners from the ethnic minority regions including Manchu, Hui, Aba Tibetan and Qiang, Korean, Tibetan, Uyghur, Zhuang, Mongolian and Yi as well as remote, border areas sent birthday greetings to Master Li to show their respect as well.

Despite the severe persecution in China, people continue to hear of the beauty of Falun Dafa and begin practicing. Many new practitioners also sent greeting cards to express their gratitude.

Practitioners around the world celebrate World Falun Dafa day by creating artworks, such as calligraphy, seal engraving, Chinese paintings, oil paintings, watercolor paintings, and so on.

Outside China, practitioners hold activities to celebrate the occasion, and hundreds of elected officials from many countries sent proclamations and congratulatory letters expressing their respect for Mr Li Hongzhi and Falun Dafa and thanking Dafa for improving people’s health and character and benefiting people around the world.

Besides practitioners, ordinary citizens in China from all walks of life who have learned the facts about the persecution also sent greetings to express their gratitude to Master for the benefits they have received from Dafa. They also hope Master will return to China soon.

What’s extraordinary is that, even before I finished reading the book, the headache that was driving me crazy disappeared. Master is looking after me. Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa, Falun Dafa is the Buddha Fa. Thank you, Master, for your salvation.”

“In February 2026, my wife was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer. It could not be treated, and our whole family was in despair. My classmate told me that only Falun Dafa could save my wife. Our family stood in front of Master’s portrait and begged Master to save her. Many practitioners came to my house to read Dafa books to her and we said, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ My wife actually got better each day! She was unable to eat anything initially, now her face glows. A few days ago, my wife and I even went out for a walk. In three months time, my wife completely regained her health. Falun Dafa is truly miraculous!

“Thus, eight of us in our family have begun to cultivate! Thank you, Master, for saving my wife’s life, for bringing joy and laughter back into my home. Nearly 100 of my friends and relatives witnessed how extraordinary Dafa is and quit the CCP!

Last year I had a serious illness. After surgery, my sister (who practices Falun Dafa and has benefited tremendously) told me to say ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ As a result, I recovered quickly. I am very grateful for Master’s salvation.”

Thank you, Master Li, for nurturing hundreds of millions of people who follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, giving humanity hope in this time of crisis! I hope practitioners suffering in prisons in China are released soon. I hope more people practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

A villager in Weifang City, Shandong Province, wrote: “Happy Birthday, Master! In the winter of 2015, I fell into a ditch while riding an electric tricycle. I was in the hospital when I regained consciousness. My head was injured and bruised, my leg was broken, and I could not move. A man from my village let me listen to Master’s lectures, and in a few days, the bruise on my head disappeared. I listened to the taped lectures every day after I went home, and by spring, I was fine. I am in my 70s, but I am now healthy, and my whole family is grateful to Master!”

A Glimpse of Celebrations Around the World

Throughout the month of May, practitioners in over 50 cities across several continents held parades, rallies, exercise demonstrations, and cultural performances. From New York to Toronto, from Australia to New Zealand, Tokyo to Taiwan, and Korea to Malaysia, in London, Paris, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and war-torn Kyiv in Ukraine, on nearly every day in May, activities were held to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.

New York, USA

On May 8, a practitioner in New York flew a giant banner with the message “Falun Dafa is good” over the skies of Manhattan to share the beauty of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in this unique way. The weather in New York that day was especially clear, and the small plane towing a huge “Falun Dafa Is Good” banner about 80 feet long and 40 feet tall flew near the Statue of Liberty, skimming the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline.

On Wednesday May 13, 2026, nearly 2,000 practitioners from the greater New York area gathered in Manhattan for a grand parade to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. The huge contingent stretched for miles along 42nd Street in downtown Manhattan. The parade lasted three hours. Many people who watched the parade wished the founder of Falun Dafa a Happy Birthday and thanked him for introducing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Seven Cities in Canada Raise Flags and Elected Officials Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

From April 30 to May 11, seven cities in Canada and towns held flag raising ceremonies to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. Mayors, Members of Parliament, and city council members attended celebrations or sent congratulatory letters. They held flag raising ceremonies, read proclamations, and announced Falun Dafa Day in the Ontario cities of Barrie, Cambridge, Cornwall, Amherstburg, Brighton, and Orangeville and in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

On May 11, Brighton, Ontario, held a flag raising ceremony to celebrate Falun Dafa Day. Mayor Brian Ostrander and Member of Parliament Philip Lawrence attended the event.

Philip Lawrence said he was honored to participate in the World Falun Dafa Day celebration. “Falun Dafa is renowned for upholding vital principles such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and peace. As members of this community,” he said, “we are all deeply connected to these values.”

Eighty-five Members of Parliament from the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Alberta, and Quebec extended their congratulations on World Falun Dafa Day. Nineteen MPs and a representative attended celebrations on Parliament Hill on May 5 to show their support, while officials of seven cities and towns held flag raising ceremonies outside their government buildings to celebrate the occasion. In light of the CCP’s escalating transnational repression of Falun Gong, more elected officials attended the events than in previous years. They praised practitioners for upholding Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and for their contributions to society. They also praised practitioners for their resilience despite years of persecution.

On May 3, 2026, Nathan Phillips Place in downtown Toronto resounded with cheers celebrating World Falun Dafa Day. Shouts of “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” echoed throughout the plaza. Practitioners and community members from Toronto and the surrounding area held a variety of activities at Nathan Phillips Place. Community leaders gave speeches praising Falun Dafa and practitioners for their significant contributions to the world.

The European Times published an article about World Falun Dafa Day on May 14, 2026, noting that is not only an important day for practitioners worldwide to celebrate the spread of Falun Dafa, but it also once again draws international attention to the lack of freedom of belief and human rights in China. The continued international attention on World Falun Dafa Day demonstrates that persecution cannot eradicate faith.

On May 9, Falun Gong practitioners in the UK held a large-scale parade and rally in central London. The parade started near the Chinese Embassy in London and featured a waist drum team, and dragon dance, showcasing the beauty of traditional Chinese culture. When the parade reached the North Platform of Trafalgar Square, a rally was held and practitioners demonstrated the exercises.
