(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in eight cities or counties in five provinces and two municipalities, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Mr. Nie Guomin Arrested
Mr. Nie Guomin’s home was ransacked by officers from the Caishan Town Police Station and Huangmei County Domestic Security Division on May 25, 2026. His Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a pair of couplets on the door, New Year’s paintings, 500 yuan in cash, and a cell phone were confiscated. The officers did not present any search warrant or provide a list of confiscated items.
The officers took Mr. Nie to the police station that afternoon for interrogation. He was forced to write a statement to renounce Falun Gong. He was released that evening.
2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Fang Yusheng and His Wife Ms. Chen Xuejing Face Second Hearing
Mr. Fang Yusheng and his wife, Ms. Chen Xuejing, was scheduled to appear at Changqing District Court again on June 2, 2026. Their first hearing took place on May 8, 2026, and their two lawyers entered not guilty pleas for them.
3. [Beijing] Mr. Zhu Guangjun Appeals His Sentence
Mr. Zhu Guangjun from Shunyi District was tried on March 16, 2026. He was sentenced to one year and two months in prison. Since his detention began, he suffered from high blood pressure ranging from 180 to 220. He has since walked unsteadily. He has filed an appeal with Beijing No. 3 Intermediate Court.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guixiang’s Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Li Guixiang was arrested on May 13, 2026. She was first given a 12-day detention and then taken away by officers from Nanling Police Station on May 26. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhao Fei’s Motion to Reconsider Her Wrongful Sentencing Heard
Ms. Zhao Fei was sentenced to five years in March 2025. Her appeal was denied by the Tianjin First Intermediate Court. Her older sister, Ms. Zhao Xiang, filed a motion to reconsider her case with the appeals court. The case was accepted and a hearing was scheduled for June 2.
6. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Face Trial
Mr. Liu Xiaohui, Ms. Bai Yun, Ms. Liu Shuhua, and Ms. Zhao Guili, were scheduled to appear in the Longshan District Court on June 2, 2026.
7. [Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners, including Yan Meixian and Hu Youguang, were arrested in mid-May 2026 after being reported for distributing Falun Gong materials. All of their homes were ransacked. Two of the practitioners were released days later. Yan and Hu remain in custody at the Xinzhou City Lockup Center, and arrest warrants have been issued against them.
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Chunxiang Indicted
Ms. Yu Chunxiang, 65, was arrested at home on March 4, 2026, by officers from Xigang District Domestic Security Division and Beijing Street Police Station. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to Yaojia Detention Center. Prosecutor Hu Tongjun of the Ganjingzi District Procuratorate indicted her on May 19, and forwarded her case to the Ganjingzi District Court. Presiding judge Duan Li has been assigned to her case.
