(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chi Minxiang Detained
2. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Chen Zhongli Tried
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yun Arrested
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guixiang Detained
5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Thirteen Practitioners Arrested
6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Yancui Harassed
1. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chi Minxiang Detained
Mr. Chi Minxiang was arrested at his rental property on the evening of June 1, 2026, by a dozen officers. The police ransacked the place, and confiscated his computer, printer, and Falun Gong books. Mr. Chi was placed under a 7-day detention.
2. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Chen Zhongli Tried
Ms. Chen Zhongli was arrested by officers from the Pingcheng District Police Department on September 5, 2025. Her home was ransacked, and tens of thousands of yuan worth of personal property was confiscated. The Pingcheng District Procuratorate issued a formal arrest warrant for Ms. Chen on September 23, 2025.
Ms. Chen was indicted by the Yungang District Procuratorate on December 26, 2025, and tried by the Yungang District Court on May 28, 2026. A second hearing was scheduled for June 16, 2026.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yun, 82, was arrested on June 3, 2026.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guixiang Detained
Ms. Li Guixiang was arrested on May 13, 2026, by Nanling Police Station officers. She was first held in a local lockup, then transferred to the Changchun City Second Detention Center on May 26.
5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Thirteen Practitioners Arrested
Thirteen practitioners were arrested in Baiyun District on April 20, 2026. Mr. Wei Yingxin and Ms. Shi, who works at the Nanfang Hospital, were released on bail. Mr. Wei’s wife, Ms. Wan Mengying, is detained in the Baiyun District Detention Center. Ms. Tang Huiling and the other practitioners’ situations are unknown.
6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Yancui Harassed
Mr. Chen Yancui was summoned to the village office on May 26, 2026, and ordered by village Party director Chen Yanliang, to fill out a form renouncing Falun Gong. When he refused, the director beat him and knocked him to the ground. The director threatened to arrest Mr. Chen if he did not fill out the form.
