(Minghui.org) “If everyone treated others with compassion, our world would be a wonderful place,” was one comment made during a Falun Dafa practitioners’ information day event outside the World Trade Center Amsterdam on July 1 and 2, 2026. Practitioners held the event to tell people about Falun Dafa and expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

Their display boards attracted many office workers, business professionals, and passersby to stop and find out more. A high school teacher signed the petition to support the efforts to end the persecution and thanked practitioners for the information, while a Chinese woman quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. A Chinese postgraduate student from Belgium said that he wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa.

The World Trade Center Amsterdam, a key member of the World Trade Organization network, is located in Zuidas, Amsterdam’s core financial district. The Trade Center complex is made up of nine towers and two lobbies and houses over 300 companies involved in finance, law, consulting, and technology. Just six minutes by train from the Schiphol Airport, a steady flow of business professionals and travelers frequent the Center every day.

Practitioners set up an information booth near the pedestrian walkway between the World Trade Center and the Amsterdam Zuid Station. They demonstrated the exercises, distributed flyers, and talked with passersby. Many people stopped to learn more about Falun Dafa and talked in-depth with practitioners.

High School Teacher Thanks Practitioners

High school teacher Eisa van Leeuwen stopped at the Falun Dafa booth and signed the petition to end the persecution. She said she knew that many Chinese people’s lives are difficult lives under the CCP regime and that their human rights have been violated for a long time. She wanted to do her part by signing the petition, which she felt was the most direct way to show her support.

When she heard that Falun Dafa advocates Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, she said, “These values are very important, especially compassion. If everyone treated others with compassion, our world would be a wonderful place.” Responding to information about the persecution, Eisa said, “The CCP regime always paints a beautiful promise—it claims to share everything. This sounds very pretty, but none of these promises were fulfilled. In actual fact, people are deprived of their freedom, and that is not right!”

Eisa thanked practitioners for holding the event to inform the public, “What you are doing is very important. Thank you! I wish you success!”

Chinese Graduate Student Wants to Learn More About Falun Dafa

A young Chinese man from Belgium was in the Netherlands as part of a student exchange program. He had heard about Falun Dafa when he was in Belgium and had quit the CCP. He said that he was very happy to see practitioners in the Netherlands, “I have no favorable impressions of the CCP. It is so evil. Under its regime, Chinese people have no dignity or freedom, and life is hard.” He also said, “I want to know more about Falun Dafa. Please give me some information.”

He took copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, The Ultimate Goal of Communism, “Why We Urge You to Quit the CCP and its Affiliated Organizations,” and others. He said he would read them and learn more about Falun Dafa.

People Express Their Support

A Chinese woman said she’d moved to the Netherlands with her parents when she was young and is now studying at a university. This was the first time she’d heard about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. After she talked with a practitioner, she quit the Young Pioneers she’d joined before she left China. She also took many materials in Chinese and said she would give them to her parents.

When a Dutch woman noticed the pictures of the Falun Dafa practitioners being tortured, she said, “I know the CCP is bad, because it persecutes people. I never buy products from China, nor do I go to Action [a Dutch discount supermarket chain]. The things they sell there are all made in China, and I don’t want my money to support such a regime!”
