(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners in the Dallas area were invited to participate in the Independence Day Parade in Arlington, Texas, on July 4, 2026.
Tens of thousands of spectators gathered for the double celebration—the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the 150th anniversary of the founding of Arlington.
The parade route, which was nearly two miles long, passed through the center of Arlington and by the University of Texas at Arlington. Arlington was hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 over the weekend, so the number of spectators likely exceeded the projected 75,000.
Starting with the National Anthem at 9 a.m., around 150 groups, all decorated in red, blue, and white, set off on the route. Bands played patriotic music, and many of the spectators were waving American flags.

One of the highlights was the practitioners’ float and colorful banners. There were seven viewing stages along the parade route, and each host introduced the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa as the spectators clapped, cheered, and took photos of the practitioners marching by.

Following a huge banner reading “Falun Dafa” and “Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance,” the float carried practitioners in yellow outfits demonstrating the exercises.
As they passed by each viewing stage, the host introduced them: “Falun Dafa is a spiritual practice that originated in ancient Chinese culture and is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It has spread worldwide to over 100 countries and regions. Falun Gong practitioners share these values in their everyday lives, and anyone can learn the exercises free of charge.”

Some of the spectators asked about the spiritual practice and were shocked when they learned about the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Local media outlets including CBS and Fox News reported on the parade and interviewed individuals, while many of the spectators shared information about the parade on social media..
