(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Chunyan Arrested

3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Liying Abused in Prison
4. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Eight Practitioners Harassed
5. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yan Hongzhuan Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunyan Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
7. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Yanxia Detained
8. [Ju County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xinghai Detained
9. [Yiyuan Count, Shandong Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
10. [Qishan County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Shen Hongqi To Be Released From Prison
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Chunyan Arrested
Ms. Chen Chunyan was arrested at home on July 13, 2026.
2. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wang Shaoting Arrested
Ms. Wang Shaoting was arrested at home by officers from the Datong Road Police Station on the morning of July 10, 2026. They searched the home and took away a flash drive.
3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Liying Abused in Prison
Ms. Wang Liying, 64, is currently incarcerated in the Fifth Division of Liaoning Province Women’s Prison. She is forced to do hard labor while subjected to constant beatings and verbal abuse. She suffers from chronic swollen legs, which makes it difficult for her to squat to use the toilet. She has no proper shoes, only thick cotton ones to wear in the hot summer.
4. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Eight Practitioners Harassed
Eight practitioners were harassed by Wenquan Police Station officers on June 19, 2026. They are: Ms. Yang Xiaohua, Ms. Ren Huifang, Zhang Qi (gender unknown), Mr. Li Mincai, Ms. Li Suqin, Ms. Yan Qin, Mr. Wang Lidi, and Mr. Zheng Shuanghua. The police took photos of them and threatened to check on them every three months.
5. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yan Hongzhuan Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison
Ms. Yan Hongzhuan was sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She is currently detained at the Zhuhai City First Detention Center.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunyan Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Ms. Wang Chunyan, 74, was sentenced to three years in prison.
7. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Yanxia Detained
Ms. Zhao Yanxia, 75, was arrested on March 3, 2026, and has been detained at the Benxi City Detention Center. Her case was submitted to the Mingshan District Court on June 24, 2026. Her lawyer hasn’t been allowed to meet with her.
8. [Ju County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xinghai Detained
Mr. Wang Xinghai, 76, was arrested by officers from the Ju County Domestic Security Division on June 17, 2026, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong at a market. His Falun Gong books were confiscated. He has been placed under criminal arrest.
9. [Yiyuan Count, Shandong Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
Nine practitioners were arrested on July 17, 2025. They are: Mr. Song Yizhen, Ms. Gong Fangzhi, Ms. Bai Zheng’ai, Ms. Jin Zhenhua, Ms. Liu Chuanhong, Ms. Liu Fang, Ms. Wang Taimei, Ms. Fang Qing’e, and Ms. Chen Yunxia.
Among them, Ms. Wang has been sentenced to two years in prison; Ms. Fang and Ms. Chen were issued formal arrest warrants and detained at the Zibo City Detention Center, but their case status is otherwise unknown. The other practitioners were released shortly after their arrests.
10. [Qishan County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Shen Hongqi To Be Released From Prison
Mr. Shen Hongqi was scheduled to be released on July 22, 2026, after serving a seven-year term.
