(Minghui.org) A Shaanxi woman was arrested on February 26, 2016, eight months after suing Jiang Zemin and one year after she was released from prison. During the past 15 years, she has been detained for more than 10 years in labor camps and a prison.
Ms. Xiao Yanping, a resident of Nanzheng County, Shaanxi Province, mailed her criminal complaints against Jiang, the former Chinese dictator, to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and Supreme People's Court on June 14, 2015. She charged him with being responsible for her long term imprisonment and torture.
Brief Description of Ordeals
The police and officials from the local 610 Office arrested her at her workplace on September 4, 2002 for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was given two years of forced labor and fired from her workplace. Officials extorted 20,000 yuan from her husband in exchange for her being released 8 months early.
She was arrested again on February 23, 2005 for posting informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was given one-and-a-half years of forced labor and imprisoned in the Xi'an Women's Forced Labor Camp in August 2005.
Several plainclothes police officers broke into and ransacked Ms. Xiao's shop on May 7, 2008. They confiscated two computers, two printers, an all-in-one multi-function laser printer, one hard drive, several boxes of paper, two MP3 players and other Falun Gong related materials. These items were to be used as evidence against her.
The persecutors interrogated her around the clock for six days and nights and deprived her of sleep. Then, she was sentenced to eight years on March 27, 2009 and taken to the Shaanxi Women's Prison on June 27, 2009.
While imprisoned, she was beaten, humiliated and deprived of using the restroom. Someone was assigned to monitor her around the clock because she was not allowed to speak to anyone. Guards forced he to perform labor more than 10 hours a day and sometimes even until late at night.
Broken Family
Her son was admitted to a prestigious middle school in 2002. But, she was arrested four days after the school began. Her son could not bear the pressure and dropped out of school. A few years later, his father died in a car accident, rendering him parent-less. He tried to join the army, but was kicked out because his mother practiced Falun Gong. The pressure became unbearable, so he tried to commit suicide, but fortunately did not succeed.
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
Over 200,000 Falun Gong practitioners and their family members have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin with the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme People's Court since the end of May 2015. Many practitioners also encourage people to join the effort to report Jiang's crimes and stop the persecution.
