(Minghui.org) A 58-year-old Tai’an City, Shandong Province, resident, lost her appeal against a two-year term for practicing Falun Gong on September 25, 2024.

Ms. Fu Yanli was arrested on October 25, 2023 and indicted by prosecutor Tian Ge of the Daiyue District Procuratorate on March 15, 2024. She appeared in the Daiyue District Court on August 6 and was sentenced to two years on August 19. Judges Liang Ping, Liu Xiuli and Song Luping, as well as their assistant Han Xin and court clerk Li Puqin, signed her verdict. She was informed of the verdict the next day.

Ms. Fu’s lawyer helped her file an appeal with the Tai’an City Intermediate Court. Judges Qu Yutao, Zhang Guoqiang and Zhang Shengnan ruled to uphold her original verdict on September 25, without holding a hearing.

Ms. Fu, a former physician of the 14th Bureau of the Ministry of Railways in Tai’an, was fired for not renouncing Falun Gong and was also stripped of her retirement benefits. She made a living by renting out her property and running a clothing store.
